Topic: Splatoon 3

@KilloWertz Yeah, it does. The story of 2 is a sequel to 1, and this one will be a sequel to 2. There are recurring characters, etc. But it surprisingly blends well with the online part too. The results of the final Splatfest in 2 influenced the story of 3 for example. I think it was Chaos vs Order, and Team Chaos won, and that's why most of 3 is now a desolate landscape.

The DLC campaign in 2 is mostly separate though, as in, the main character is different. But some characters are missing from the single player HUB because they joined you in the DLC. I'm not sure what happens if you didn't buy the DLC.

And then there's a ton of backstory and lore you can probably find online on the wiki as well.

Anyway, the way the games are set up is quite different from most games in ways. Very unique.

@Octane The Splatfest in 1 also influenced 2. Since Marie won and Callie lost.

@TommyTendo Ah right, one disappeared in 2, right? I couldn't recall, because it didn't influence the theme of the game. But considering the final splatfest was around a year before the release of 2, I wouldn't have expected it to influence the game in a big way.

Ah yes. Splatoon III: Nocturne.

You never know, the final Splatfest in Splatoon 3 might involve choosing the best kind of world-ending event to take place in the next game. AI uprising vs zombie apocalypse vs heat death of the universe, perhaps?

Splatoon 3 I think might be a game of the year candidate. I can't wait to see it this game is definitely one on my must have list.

I just got out of my Pokemon card addiction, this is not the kind of stuff I need to be hearing.

Can't wait to play it though.

@Fizza The card game sounds like a really cool concept, my worry is that there's gonna be that one card that everyone knows is broken

These are some great ideas though (I'd be very surprised if we didn't get something to do with Pokemon honestly with how perfect the setup for it is this time round)!

I've added Splatoon 3 to my nintendolife Games Collection page. It says I "have" it, which is a lie, because the game hasn't released. Please don't report me. Surely, I've gone too far this time.

@GX_64 On the games page, select "Add bulk games". When you find the game, you'll have the option to select Want, Have, etc

Or, after you've added the game, if you select the game's picture, a dropbox/promt list of Have, Want, etc appears. I'm on a tablet at the moment.

edit: In desktop mode, hover the cursor over the game's picture and a red cirlce/checkmark will appear, click that and you can change the game status from have, want, owned, maybe.
