It's a crazy Splatfest for me this time. Got more than 10 (x10) and 2 (x100). In the last Splatfest I got maybe one or two x10... 😅

Here in Europe I got quite a few mirror maches. Past noon, I had no mirror maches. It looks like people that didn't vote for family are starting to play in the afternoon? (Half joking here )

So, has anyone reached catalog level 50 & gotten the Fuzzly Sweater (ugly chirstmas sweater)? I just got to level 49. So, I'm itching to play more to get to level 50.

On a positive note, even though I've been playing Pro 2 & Pro 3 Salmon Run, I've been having teammates that know how to kill king salmonids. I've been beating them often, which has been nice.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah, I've been playing a bit too much splatoon lately and just finished the catalog. I really wish they let you equip the sweater for this splatfest, but I get why they didn't.

I managed to make it to the "ruler" title this splatfest without any 10x battles, and then all of a sudden got 3 in a row (and won them all!). Still haven't had any 100x or 333x battles. I think it'd be nice if they made it so that every 10 matches or so there's a 10x battle guaranteed. I don't really like the system where players who have already won 10x battles are more likely to get into more of them. I feel like if anything it should be the opposite. Let players who haven't yet participated in 10x battles be more likely to encounter them!

@WoomyNNYes
I don't quite understand the question. You mean if we get the Sweater at 50? The answer to that is yes.
You can always check the catalougue on the SplatNet App or in game in the menu (x button).

@BingleyBongley Ruler? Nice. You're raking in those super sea snails. I have only played up to Defender Champion. I've been spending my time in Salmon Run otherwise, grinding for silver scales.

I still haven't had the time to participate in the fest yet myself (been at work for most of the day and decided to finish off Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game in the time since) but Shiver leading at Half-Time is definitely a fair bit....worrying to me (and no it's not just because I'm on Team Family XD).

Doing pretty all right in the Splatfest for Family, I suppose. Also tried out the Tricolor matches and I've gotten an absurd amount of mirror matches... that kinda annoyed me. (I only got two mirror matches in the open matches.) I did make it to Ruler tonight though, so that's good. I'm surprised that Friends is winning the halftime, I thought it would be Solo.

Thank you @WoomyNNYes and @Vortexeo for playing some matches with me tonight! It's been fun playing with you two.

Been on the attacking team in Tricolour seven times in a row now and everyone on the other attacking teams seem to be especially uncooperative today.

@BenAV yeah it’s annoying. I think it’s because Tri-battle thingies are so rare, like it’s not on for the full Splatfest, that lot of other players haven’t figured out the nuances to it.

@jump I tend to give people a couple of chances to realise that I'm not attacking them but if they keep going after me too many times then I can get a bit spiteful and go out of my way to get revenge.

Worst one I had earlier was when the entire defending team was dead so I went after the signal but the other attacking team was shooting at me so I backed off to let them take it instead but they took way too long to do anything so nobody got it.

@MarioLover92 Oh my. The first first two matches, I was OP 🤣. I think the other team was newb kids on humpback pumptrack, because they were too easy to splat. I felt bad, so I lowered my aggression and accuracy, still kept control of a large area for the win.

From what I've experienced so far as a Solo player:

  • Popularity divide is probably something like 70% Family, 15% Solo, 15% Friends - I've never had a single mirror match (not even Tricolor) but vast majority of the time was Solo vs. Family for normal Turf War
  • Same number of wins as losses in Tricolor (most wins were Solo + Family vs. Friends, most losses were Family + Friends vs. Solo) so Family would've gained the most points from those matches
  • Seemed around the same wins as losses for normal Turf War against Family but only played against Friends like less than 5 times

So my prediction for the overall setup would be:

  • Solo only gets Sneak Peak
  • Family gets Popularity + Tricolor
  • Friends gets Open + Pro

@Grumblevolcano I played a lot of Tricolour today, also on Team Solo. I had 16 mirror matches in which I went 8W-8L and I had 23 non-mirror matches where I went 19W-4L so my experience was that other Solo teams were harder to play against.

@WoomyNNYes I am at level 71, due to fest, but I actually got to 50 right before the fest began! SO yes, I have the Fuzzly Sweater!

@Croctopus Lucky! Great splatting! I have only gotten one, and... I'd rather not discuss the circumstances but basically I failed bug time. So I look forward to the day i can join the great 100x winners!

Clocking out of FrostyFest in Ruler once again (BEEN KEEPING THIS STREAK SINCE THE TESTFIRE BABYYYYYYY), with about 110k+ Clout across both Open and Tricolour. Had a pretty good time overall I gotta say: I've very much fallen off of Splatoon for the past while (with both other games taking my attention away and a general lack of interest in it contributing towards that) but FrostyFest was a lot of fun for the most part. Crableg Tricolour was a bit middling (when I could even get a proper match in it that is grumble grumble) as it's pretty much the exact same layout as the regular stage but new spawns for the Defenders, but I managed to get a ton of wins for Team Family (even two 10x's at that!), thanks in large part to discovering the absolute menace that is Big Swig Express. Haven't got the highest hopes for the results as I have a sinking feeling that Family might get washed away but eh: I had a good time nonetheless

also is it just me or did 90% of Splatfest matches have at least one person using Splat/Enperry Dualies

I got about 4-5 10x battles. And I think I lost them all! XD I'll blame whoever posts next. I hate them now, whoever they are.😠 (jk<😁)
