@Dev9417 I took the train to Inkopolis. Closed the game & rebooted. The game reboots with Inkopolis as the default hub world. You don't have to set an option or anything. It appears the game will just boot up with the hubworld you closed the game with. So, that's good!

Edit: Although, with the server maintenence still going on (8:50pm ET), there's no acces to the lobby, stores, or online play. So, we kind of cant' do anything. We cant' even check out the jukebox in the lobby.

@JadeKitsune First Splatoon game? Ahh, you're in for a treat. Yeah, DJ Octavio was the final boss in Splatoon 2's first single player campaign. I like the single player. And I REALLY like the last quarter of the single player, it's epic. That last quarter of Splatoon single player games goes to a location that's like the enemie's headquaters - it get's really cool and creative. It's an awesome climax to the game.

The stage changes are for the most part pretty great. It’s mostly smaller stuff, like adding some obstacles for chargers and adding a couple of jumps, but still some good changes all around. I definitely would have liked to see more substantial layout changes, but I’m happy with what we got.

Also, man this maintenance is taking forever. I wanna hear the new lobby music!!!

@WoomyNNYes What happens with the news at the beginning? Is it still the same as Splatsville?

So Deep Cut still presents the news, even in Inkopolis. At least, that’s what happened for me. Kinda disappointing that they couldn’t have Squid Sisters do the news, definitely a missed opportunity. But I skip over the news every time anyways so it’s not a huge deal.

Okay, the fact that every lobby and story mode theme has a name and a band alongside it is really, really cool. No longer are we forced to refer to our favorite story mode song being the “Bang bang one”. They all have names, album covers, all that stuff which is really cool.

@StarPoint I get it’s just a bonus, but why not go all the way with it and add the sisters? Disappointing.

Yeah, Flop to it song under story mode! I played it. It played for a while. I left the lobby, and came back in, and it resumed playing that same song. I closed & reopened the game, and it continued playing the song for a bit more, then ended. So, that song maybe pays once for 3-5 min? If you don't stay to hear the whole song, the song will resume when you come back to the lobby. So, you get a full play of the song you buy.

@Dev9417 Yeah, news is still the same with deep cut. There's a big run announcement.

@WoomyNNYes All I can hope is that the story won't be TOO difficult or frustrating for me to finish.

Also "Chill Season 2022" is the first season I managed to get catalog level 100 in. I didn't bother doing Drizzle Season 2022 since I was still getting used to the game's mechanics (I only got like catalog level 70), but now I got a "catalog level 100" badge for my profile (which I'm displaying alongside the "Splatfest Ruler title" and "250 Turf War wins", although I may have to replace that last one with "beat the story" badge in the future)

You forgot to mention that the loading screen colours change from purple/blue and yellow, to orange and blue.

Oh, and the lobby music defaults to Splat1 lobby music, as far as I know. At least it didn't change for me the while I played.

The downside is that I missed my chance to get the dabbing emote.

@JadeKitsune It will actually be added into the slot machine later today, it’s rng, but you can luckily still get it.

I wonder in which coloured capsule it is. And if they changed the seed for everyone. Because it's predetermined randomly what you get when starting the game with a fresh account. Random in the sense of RNG. RNG is factually not random. That's why you can calculate what you get.

@JadeKitsune Yeah but it gets a discount once a day, and if your really starving for coins you can use food boosters, and if you don’t have any you can get some from salmon run I believe.

@Snatcher I actually don’t really care for Salmon Run unless it’s time limited, like the one coming up in March.
