I'm disappointed that they're getting rid of Tower Control and Rainmaker on some stages. Mahi Mahi Resort Rainmaker was extremely fun chaos for example.

What do you mean? From what I know, they're only changing some terrain in these modes(?).

@Budda I believe I saw it mentioned in the patch notes that the king salmonid will be shown on the Salmon Run schedule along with the weapons & stage. But I dont' know when horrorboros will first appear.

A new King Salmonid called Horrorboros may appear.

I saw that. I thought it just says that one King Salmonid appears exclusively in one shift only, and not both at the same time randomly.

I'm going to make a pessimistic bet that version 3.0.0 won't go live until after 7pm today (eastern US time)(that's midnight for UK).

@StarPoint So it actually releases on February 28th rather than March 1st? I did find it weird that the Inkopolis DLC was seemingly releasing a day before the new season rather than on it, guess that explains things 🤔

The crown and shoes I got from my Pearl amiibo, the shirt from SplatNet 3. I just thought it all looked good together.

@Fizza Yeah I think they do that to ensure everyone has updated their game before the catalog releases so that people can jump in on March 1st. Yeah initially I thought it was some sort of typo considering the catalog itself ends tomorrow, but I guess it makes sense for them to do it this way. Plus, the update's coming out earlier than expected, which I'm all for!

@StarPoint One of the things I'm most excited for with tomorrow's update that I don't see anyone really talking about is the new selection of Salmon Run gear for the next 3 months. They've been getting really creative with the gear they've made specifically for it (particularly in the references like holy hell Back to the Future is canon in Splatoon) so I hope they keep up that trend going forward!

@Fizza Yeah I've really been enjoying the pop culture references we've been getting with a lot of the gear. It would be great if they continued with that style, and I'm sure they will.

I'm honestly really nervous to see what the map changes are going to look like. I'm hoping there are actual changes to the routes you can take or certain spots grant better cover, and not just a few minor touch-ups here and there. Maps like Mahi Mahi desperately need to change something to be more enjoyable.

@StarPoint The patch really hinges on the map changes, doesn't it. I'm worried about how much they could have realistically changed the maps in a short period of time, I really hope they don't just... throw blocks everywhere and call it a day because that's not the main issue

Also I really should get back into the story mode. I've only been playing this game for Turf Wars (and Salmon Run, but only when the Big Runs are going on like the one that's starting in March)

Just bought the Expansion Pass there an hour ago just in time for the 1st Wave's release in a few hours! Had a bit of a scare when buying it since I hadn't signed back into my Nintendo Account on Switch after changing my password a while back and panicked thinking I had just locked myself out of using it. Thankfully, I quick trip to the redownload section of the eShop sorted everything out (I would've been FURIOUS if I locked myself out of one of my most anticipated releases of the year out of sheer stupidity) 😅

Thinking about staying up till 1AM UTC (the time OatmealDome claims is when it's going to be released) in order to get in as soon as possible since I have school in the morning. Cannot wait to finally experience Splatoon 1 (in a sense )!

@JadeKitsune I love the single player. Single player gets awesome when you get to the rocket complex. When I played through it, I regretted not working on it sooner. The end boss is awesome too.

@WoomyNNYes So far I've only defeated DJ Octavio. Since this is my first Splatoon game, I don't know much about the characters, but I think he was the bad guy in previous games? (Also I recently set up My Music in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to only play Splatfest-based songs on Moray Towers)
