@Budda@WoomyNNYes It always just resets to Eggsecutive VP 40, which is more like what Splatoon 2 was with Profreshional at launch before they changed it if I recall correctly. As for getting to 999, just gotta play a lot in one rotation I guess. Highest I've gotten to was like 600 or so, haven't gone too hard at trying to max it out or anything yet. If there's a rotation that I really like at some point then I'll give it a crack if I have enough time.
The sequel I never thought would actually happen. Mystery Boxes giveth and Mystery Boxes taketh away in equal measure.
Also whilst I'm here, I managed to have my best Salmon Run shift ever with the current rotation (which is especially shocking considering how mediocre the current weapon selection is)!
Just got a communication error about two seconds before we killed Cohozuna. Well that sure is annoying.
Killed it next run with 30+ seconds left for the full number of scales with four silvers and a gold in the mix so that makes me feel a little better... Losing 20 points instead of gaining 20 when we beat wave 3 is still annoying though.
When do we think we'll be getting this first big balance patch? In OatmealDome's rundown of the last patch (the one that fixed Sea Snails), he said that it'd be out in mid-October. It's currently the 15th and we haven't had any news since so I'm starting to a bit antsy is all. I'm personally praying for Missiles nerf (maybe give more points for special on each of the weapons that have it to avoid spam? At least on the Reef-Lux), Tri-Stringer buffs and for Brellas and Ultra Stamp to actually work.
@BenAV In complete contrast, I got a Cohozuna on my last shift of the day and managed to beat it JUST as the last second ticked away. It's fair to say I popped off so hard.
The midpoint of the season would be October 23rd/24th so the patch will likely be next week or the week after. We'll probably hear more about Big Run around then too.
@Grumblevolcano Ah, gotcha. Must've misread it as mid-October rather than the mid-point. That's not too long of a wait though and it'd be cool for them to tie in the patch with Big Run (which I really hope gets an actual damn trailer before it comes out).

Now that I've got 100 silver scales saved up, I've gotta decide if I actually want one of the black or white slopsuits or not. I tend to judge my teammates based on what colour they're wearing initially (even though it doesn't mean much) so it'd be kinda nice to wear one of the most expensive ones but I do still like pink the most in terms of appearance.

@BenAV Tough call. I don't know which I'd like better either. I don't see the black or white suits enough in-game to have formed an opinion either. I have the yellow suit, and catalog 2 unlocked. So, I can only chose from green, navy, pink.
I have a bold idea. Don't pick a new suit. Sit on that 100+ silver scales until there's a new update, and possibly new slopsuit option! 😉😉 I mean, why blow the 100 scales if a new suit color option is coming and you're not excited about the current offerings? Although, I have no idea if a new suit would be coming, or when.
