@Fizza The Dynamo is manageable, especially with Splattershot and Dualies in the rotation. One of your teammates has to keep close though. Too often I see people just running off going to do their own thing.

The Splatoon 3 amiibo releases November 11th:

Still incredibly miffed we don't have Story Mode outfits as gear yet (maybe we'll get them with the inevitable Deep Cut amiibo) but these look great. I saw post saying how they're all references to iconic 80's/90's movies with Fight Club (Inkling Girl), Karate Kid (Octoling Boy) and Mad Max (Smallfry) and that makes me go from indifference to love in regards to these figures. I've also seen that the Smallfry one could also be a reference to Hakuto no Ken with the design of the armor which is just....brilliant.

These figures also happen to come out a week after my birthday....hmm....

@Fizza Yeah, I mean, how long do we have to wait for the black space suit from the single player? More than a year? I hope not. That translucent space helmet with rainbow refractions in it is sick. I want.

@WoomyNNYes I want Captain 3's outfit so badly man....

I didn't know the Dynamo can shield you from Maws?

In case anyone still doesn't know the OP strengths of the Dynamo in Salmon Run. This vid outlines how to use it. I was cleaning up at Gone Fission Hydroplant, since both entrances are close to each other, and easy to block.

@Fizza I haven't touched the tableturf game, because I was scared I'd be terrible at it, or don't know the rules well enough.

@WoomyNNYes I am far from good at it yet I'm still having a relatively fun time. I'd say test yourself against the first opponent and see how you get on. Plus if you get to a high enough rank, you unlock an exclusive emote!

@WoomyNNYes @Fizza I want to grind up to level 50 in Tableturf at some point but man, leveling up starts to take super long so it's a pretty big commitment. I think I'm up to like 33 or thereabouts but it's been a while since I've played it.

I generally enjoy Clam Blitz but today wasn't my day.

I've played over 100 hours of Splatoon 2 and quite a few Clam Blitz matches in 3 too and this is the first time I was in a game in which no one scored any points. The game would go into an overtime which lasted multiple minutes, yet no one scored. Both teams got very close multiple times. The game decides the other team won. Oh well, onto the next match. We won by a landslide.

Then the next match starts and one of our players disconnects right at the start, yet the game continues. When the last minute starts, I'm feeling great since the opposing team hasn't been able to score. Time for an overtime. No one can get through our defense. When it's safe, we try our luck attack. Again, both teams get close but neither scores. The game ends. Despite our valiant efforts, 3 vs 4 from the start to the end, the win goes to the opposing team despite them never getting any points.

I believe the winner is chosen at random. At least, that's how it supposedly works in 2. These matches happened during Series so now I have two losses out of the three and an uphill battle trying to get 4 wins in a row. Feels pretty bad.

@Late meh, clam blitz was always my least favorite gamemode, but it can be enjoyable (especially with a blaster + big bubbler on mahi mahi, hehe)

Does anybody else feel like Eggsecutive VP's difficulty could be turned down a bit? Maybe it's just the lack of good teammates, but I have been consistently losing matches lately. I thought Profreshional was hard, but it was a good challenge. But VP, especially on the current map, feels like practically a 50-50 shot.

@StarPoint It can get pretty tricky at times but for the most part it's definitely down to teammates. I find that how well I do generally depends on what time I play. When I play in the afternoon/evening AU time, I tend to find pretty competent teammates and win almost all my matches for a few hundred points into VP at least but when I try playing really late at night before I go to bed, I can't find a good team to save my life and just lose over and over. So this is around the time of day at the moment that I find it particularly hard.

@BenAV Ah yep, same here. Noon matches here just don't tend to work out well.

I'm wondering. Is there anywhere a checkpoint at Executive VP that doesn't set you back to 40 at the next shift? In Splatoon 2 there was one every 100 points. Not here. ... Because there is a batch for reaching 999. How is this possible when you get set back to 40 every shift?

@Budda When there's a new shift/weapon rotation, I think you always start at 40 in the rank level you ended at in the previous shift. That's how it's works for Profreshional, anyway. I was in Profreshional 3 previous shift, so I started the new shift/rotation at Profreshional 3, 40. I still haven't reached Eggsecutive VP. So, I don't know if it's different in Eggsecutive.

(Yesterday, in Profreshional 3, I kept getting crew wipes do to getting swamped with drizzlers and flyfish. I have no idea what my teammates were doing, they were all over the place, but they weren't slaying drizzlers or crippling flyfish. Hazard levels 148-158%)

In Splatoon 2 Profreshional was the highest rank where you can get up to 999 points. Every shift you would reset back to 100 if you are between 100 and 199 points. To 200 when between 200 and 299 ... and so forth.
The equivalent in 3 is Executive VP. If it would work like in 2, I should be set back to 100 when I was at 120 points. But it reset me back to 40...
If there are no such checkpoins somewhere, how would you be able to reach 999 points?
I googled it but could find anything about it.

@Budda I guess you'd have to ask @BenAV if he keeps his Eggsecutive rank when there's a new shift/weapon rotation. I kept my Profreshion 3 level rank when the new shift/weapon rotation started, started at Profreshional 3/40. I assumed Eggsecutive works the same, with Eggsecutive VP, Eggsecutive VP 2, Eggsecutive VP 3, each lof those levels you climb 1-100, but I've never reached Eggsecutive VP ranks myself.
