Also I wonder if you generally get matched with players of a similar rank and if it affects your score?
Had one quad where we only won 2 out of the 7 games to get our rank, but we were at around 1900.
I think at least one of my friends was S+ and I noticed we were going up against some notable top teams overall.
Completed the Hero Mode a week ago (my router had a defect and it took a while to get a replacement so no Turf War, no anything for me). Overall, I like the stages more than the ones from the first game, the bosses were also more inventive but the final boss was much better in the first one than in the second. The first one was a final test of everything you've learned and the second was just a battle.
Also, not too happy with the twist with Callie. We've got this whole soap opera drama but at the end, it wasn't brought whatsoever in-game. The credits were fun, though, coloring in all the people's names and Fresh Start is just cool.

But seriously, the current Salmon Run setup is really favourable I think. I thought if I was ever going to push to the top of Profreshonal, it was going to be today, so I gave it a good go.
Also, people seem to have learnt how to deal with the Glowflies, by just huddling together near the basket and taking the enemies out as they get funnelled down the paths. It can be hugely profitable when you get it right. We got 40 golden eggs in one Glowfly wave today, which was pretty nuts. Sadly the other two waves were pretty standard, but I think it was still a new record of 76 or something.
Also, does anyone know the point of the standard orange eggs in Salmon Run? What do they... do?
@Maxz The power eggs contribute to the end score (and thus your progress to earning prizes). Just much less than gold eggs.
You know what's great? Hidden Goldie rounds in high tide. I think we actually managed to splat it. It may have dropped something special... or it could have just been two eggs merged together to look weird.
@EdJericho Team Mayo all the way. Mayo is way more versatile and is used to make a huge variety of sauces and dips. Much more than the "Tomato Jam", as Pearl would say.
I've just sort of got my head around the idea that 'intimidation' is pretty much just as important a part of Splat Zones as actually taking the Zones in the first place.
Rather than sitting around 'guarding' the zone, it can be better to get all up in the enemies' grills and generally make a nuisance. You don't even have to make any kills; every second you spend just messing around with them is another second on the clock. In fact, simply toying with them is preferable to a double splat, as you'll have to retread a longer distance to get back to the same place.
It kinda of explains the games where I/our team have an enourmous kill ratio, but still lose. Unlike the other two modes, where the objective draws gradually nearer to the losing team's spawn point (and requires constant engagement from the winning team to progress), in Splat Zones, it suffices to just keep the opponents away from the centre indefinitely while the objective looks after itself, making distraction an even more powerful tool. #SplatTips #IKnowHastagsDontDoAnything #MakesThingsFeelMoreOfficialThough
Instead of eating lunch on my break I tried to rank up in Salmon Run. I'm on a round where I'll rank up if we when we win and I'm on a great team. Third round starts and BAM! I lose internet connection and lose 20 points on my level up meter and I have to go back to work in 5 minutes...
Needless to say I react like Luke Skywalker (spoiler alert!) finding out Darth Vader is his dad.
NOOOOOOOOOoooooooo...
turned my motion sensitivity and control sensitivity right up as i heard it gives you the advantage..... not i cant hit a thing .. not sure if i can get used to this like !
@NapalmPsalm Haha, I remember that bit. Luke was like, "Oh hi Dad", and Vader was like, "Hi Son", and Luke was like, "What's for dinner?", and Vader was like, "Chips".
One of the most impactful moments in cinema history for sure.
I just got the tiniest sliver away from A+ in Rainmaker before losing it. I quite like the new system Rank Meter system. I mean it's frustrating to lose it all at once, but it's kinda nice to be given a clean slate, and it makes each attempt at ranking up into its own little campaign, rather than a frustrating hug of war around a single point.
@EdJericho No worries, I was doing the same thing, actually. lol And yes, a team squad during the Splatfest would be awesome! Seems like most NL users are on Team Ketchup, (since it is the obvious choice ), so hopefully we won't have much trouble finding a team. Also still looking forward to doing Salmon Run; I still haven't done it with any NL members yet, so it will be nice to have reliable teammates for once! XD
