I have this on PC and play it all the time. I will have a very hard time paying more that $20 for this game given that its $20 on Steam. I also have a PS4 Pro and I think its cheap there but have never looked. The other gripe is that your user ranking does not come over. This is a game were if you one it once you should be able to buy it for other platforms at a discount and certainly you should be able to login to your account and get your ranking and equipment. As a PC / PS4 Pro/ Switch player I have a hard time justifying this game on anything but PC.

If you think about that would be a little unfair, as you could theoretically build up your stats on your PC then port them to the Switch whenever you feel like. You would never have to grind on the Switch version, but you could enjoy any benefits your profile carries over from the PC.

I am 99% sure it's also 20$ on the Switch though.
Well that's another point. If you have played Rocket League at all you know as you get better the battles get very intense. IMO there is no way you could play this game at a high level with the joycons, you would have to use the Pro Controller. And that's fine, the Pro Controller is one of the best. But then it ends up being the very same thing as PC or PS4... on a TV or monitor. Except if you played in tabletop with the Pro Controller and that is something I don't see myself ever doing.
People will never be happy with the price of games or feature srts of games on Switch guys.
It should be the same price as the other versions are NOW, not full price to factor in any wages, development time, outsourcing, paying for dev kits, submission, licensing, advertising and overheads. What is this, a BUSINESS?
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
@BLP_Software has never been like that and never will be but to speak specifically of Rocket League I think the eShop pricing is more than adequate. When you've got games like Tiny Barbarian, monopoly like £30 and This is police, Syberia, Spelunker etc £24 high and then Rocket League is priced £16-ish? And i think it's priced £15.99 in the ps store. So I don't See where the problem is?

The price is exactly where it should be. $20 for the base game. That is what it still costs on the PS4 and XB1. $30 for the collectors edition with a lot of dlc.
This will probably be one of the best selling games on the Switch. But only if the game hits the 60fps mark.
It's kind of obvious to me that BLP isn't being serious. I just woke up too and have yet to drink a coffee.
I know exactly what he is saying. He is defending the Switch for games being more expensive even though they shouldn't be. I clearly was saying that in this case Rocket League is priced correctly.
This isn’t a complaint, but so many games coming out close to each other, Doom, LA Noire, Rocket League and Skyrim. I never did buy Rocket League for PC, not sure why as I love football and cars. So I’ll definitely be buying it for Switch.
Someone said it’s on the E-shop coming soon section, it’s not in the UK though.
I'm so hype for this game. I haven't played rocket league in probably almost a year since i got rid of my ps4 and I really do believe it will quickly become the switch's most popular game. Some people seem to be blind to it's popularity. For instance, this weekend is the World Championships for Rocket League and theres 150k+ watching the stream of it on Twitch. It's a very popular game and a lot of people that already play it on other systems/pc will be buying it on the switch so they can play it whenever/wherever. It's super addicting and even 2 years in from being released it probably still hasn't even hit its peak popularity yet. If you haven't played it, just get it. I mean cmon, it's $20 for a new game that's wildly popular, it's worth a shot. Graphics won't be quite as good but it still looks great and it's the fluid movement that really matters and that's what they concentrated on. Should be a huge hit.
So the game is up on the UK eShop (Coming soon section) and I'm happy to say that it wiill cost £15.04 which is even less than the PlayStation store. And it's file size is - 4.8 GB
Playing Rocket League for the first time is a lot like when you first started playing football/soccer as a young kid at primary/elementary school.
You race around like a headless chicken, just desperate for a touch of the ball to begin with, and as soon as you do touch it you realise you're such a noob that you're just that kid who kicks the ball in random directions.
So then you think, 'How can I make an impression here?', so you start hanging out near the goal, waiting for your moment so that YOU can be the hero and score. Then finally.... this is it... the ball's flying across the face of the goal, you've just got to touch it and it's in and YOU'RE the hero... so you jam on your boosters and... you completely miss the ball and stack it into the back of the net yourself. And it's hilarious.
So you do that a few times, and then you actually connect one time, and you score, and you're delirious for a couple of minutes, and then you realise, 'Dude, anyone can score, you gotta do more for the team', so you start trying to help out more in defence, and you see a high ball looping across the pitch towards your unprotected goal, and the opposition have a car closing in on it. You realise you're the only one who can prevent a goal... so you activate Hero-Mode again and jam on your boosters... 'omg this is gonna be close...' 'omg I'm in front, I'm going to get there first, I'm going to save the day!'... and you do get there first, and you hit the ball straight into the back of your own net, and you just crease up in embarrassed hysterics, and it's brilliant.
And then you spend ages trying to get any good at the game. But I haven't got that far yet. I'll resume tomorrow....
Enjoy everyone, Rocket League is a true classic in my opinion, and I've only played it for about 5 hours, but there's a reason it's won those BAFTAs (among others).
