Topic: Rocket League (Switch)

Unless I've missed something, I don't think that will be possible. I haven't found a way to link my PSN and Steam Account in Rocket League, so I doubt it'll be possible for the Switch version.

Very excited for this! Anyone who knows if it will have splitscreen on Switch? And if so, for how many players?

For some reason I was under the impression this would be an eShop-only game, until I saw it for pre-order on Game's website for £50. Surely the final game won't actually cost that much, right? It's £15 on Steam...

It's Game, so probably yeah it will cost that much whereas Amazon will be likely far cheaper. For example I bought Raymen Legends for £25 on Amazon, I would assume it's full price at Game, though I couldn't seem to find it on the website under the Switch section despite there being a console bundle for it.

@FragRed I just checked Amazon and Rocket League is currently £50 on there as well. I imagine it's probably just a placeholder price until they know for sure how much the game should cost though.

I'm so jealous of those that live in the New York area, they're having the demo in NYC only and I so wish I could play it, it's been far too long. Hopefully them having a demo means the real version won't be much longer. Really hoping its before Dec.

Can't wait for this one,only $20 too. I know already it will be one of my most played Switch games and I've only played it briefly. My mate plays it all the time on his Xbox so I'm hoping this crossplay feature makes it easy enough to play friends and not just easier to find opponents.

Yeah chances are I'll nab this, not sure when, though. I am somewhat limited with money and I am saving up for a new capture device. I could always get the Japanese version to save some money. Dunno if that'll prevent me from playing with others who won't import, anyways we'll see what happens.

Don't get the appeal of this game. I mean I get why it could be fun but just doesn't appeal to me. I hope that it does well though. Need third parties and indies to do well.

@Qwertyninty I've read quite a few folk saying the same thing, my mate had that opinion too and then they played it and they "got it" and it became one of their most played games. It's one of those games you really need to play yourself to understand why it's so popular. For only $20 it's certainly worth a punt. I have no doubt it will be a huge success on Switch.

So only the eShop version is releasing on the 14th means I'll wait for the physical version which is a relief for my wallet 👍 cuz I'll be buying a lot of games within that time frame Doom, Sniperclips, L.a. Noire, Skyrim and then Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I'm kinda happy but I'm panicking at the same time that's just way too much money I'm spending and deep inside I know i shouldn't be doing it 😭

@Kuhang I sure hope the retail version is only a hold over price as I checked Best Buy the other day and was listed for $60.

A game like Rocket League is great to have on the system at all times, assuming the size isn’t too big. So that’s what I going to do. Not sure if I get it at launch though.

Curious to see what the file size will be.

@Spoony_Tech I have it on pre order and it's £49.99 here in UK but now that the digital version's price has been revealed i think the price is going to go down to probably like £39.99 but we'll see.
