New trailer tomorrow!

Genuinely thought this was a joke post based off of how many updates we've gotten as of late until I noticed the checkmark. I'm starting to feel a bit tired of so many reveals in such a short amount of time but I'm still very excited to see what they'll reveal (hopefully its something suitably spooky for the month of October!).

Also good lord: a Pokemon AND Mario Movie trailer in the same day? Mamma mia....

@Fizza that's very similar amount what they did with Generation 8th aka Sword & Shield reveals, but still way less then Generation 7th aka Sun & Moon did, so. xD

As long as it isn’t the amount they did for Sun and Moon, we’re golden.

@VoidofLight That news cycle hit me at the absolute perfect time (when I was in my mid 10's and checked the official site every single day to see if there was a new bit of news) but I don't ever want it to come back.

I believe the way SwSh (and by extension PLA) handled new reveals was absolutely perfect: one trailer every month that goes into details on both mechanics and Pokemon. SV has been a bit more unbalanced compared to them (we've technically gotten the same amount at this point of the hype cycle, it's just been compacted into the last 3 months a lot more than the other two Switch games) but every trailer is still really exciting (even the short ones like Wiglett, that trailer is absolutely adorable).

There are certainly some individuals online who want everything for the game shown before release, but I will never forget the constant surprises PLA gave me when I didn't look at any leaks regarding it. One of my personal favourite moments in fact was seeing Hisuian Arcanine, my most hyped Hisuian Form, for the very first time in game. It was such a magical experience and completely endeared me to the mon. I SWEAR I WILL DEFEND THAT PUPPER'S DESIGN TILL THE DAY I DIE.

@Fizza I remember checking the official site every time a new trailer dropped for Sun and Moon. I just was shocked that they revealed almost the entire game before launch.

@Kermit1 2 trailers a week and then Gamefreak cancels the game in favor of Link’s Crossbow Training 2.

After watching that latest 14 minute trailer, I'm starting to think this might become the first mainline Pokémon game I'll end up liking. Love the implementation of the Let's Go mechanic.

That was a fine enough trailer in my opinion. The stuff they delved into looks really fun, like the photo mode, Pokemon Refresh and Camp (two of the best side modes of any Pokemon game) being combined into Picknicking, seeing actual uncut gameplay (that right there is massive) and GIRAFARIG FINALLY HAS AN EVO THANK THE STARS!

One thing I wasn't a big fan of however was the pacing. Did we REALLY need this to be 14 minutes long? Especially when a lot of it is just showing uncut gameplay of the modes revealed in September's trailer? It was a bit of a slog to get through at points in my opinion: still good, no doubt about that, but slow nonetheless.

Other than that gripe though, I'm still monumentally excited for SV's release and can't wait to discover an entire dex worth of new mons for the first time since Black and White!

Also, did anyone else notice the regular Wooper in the trailer? Considering how there was a Paldean one a few seconds prior, that seems like a major mistake.

The pose is f***** hilarious though I've been dying at it for the past few minutes.
