Topic: Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee!

Gen 6 only with 3D on, rarely if something was airborne otherwise.

Gen 7 yes, Sun and Moon in double battles, or notably multi battles, were pretty bad, and certain animations like Darkest Lariat were terrible.

But weirdly USUM smoothed a lot of that out. I wonder what happened.

I really hope fossils return in the next game. They're among my favorite Pokemon and it sucked that SM didn't include new one(s).

Most anticipated title for me that I don't think will be out 2018.

@YummyHappyPills 30fps doesn't make the battles slow, that's the length of the animations.

@-Green- I think that one of the reasons there aren't any in SM is because there weren't any dinosaurs in Hawaii. Though there are fossilised birds and I think there's some sponges as well. It is a shame. I like them too.

Hawaii reminds me. Where do we think the next games will take place anyways? I'm going to guess... New Zealand or Brazil.

So about six months ago there were looking for translators, now they're looking for people to aid in the marketing department, and an editor, from proofreading to playtesting. Notice how the last two also mention working under pressure with tight deadlines. It doesn't proof anything, but it's more fuel to add to the fire.

@Octane Confused me for a bit before I realized I had to login to Bulbagardens on this computer to see the image. Anyways, the number of hints for Pokemon 2018 release date seems to still be growing, though I wouldn't be that surprised if it gets delayed. It still really does seem they're targeting 2018 though, which is really all we could figure out at this point unless someone can see the future.

@Octane If Pokemon Switch is 2018, I think the most recent rumours (the one suggesting an incomplete state that's finished with free and paid DLC) are likely true. At least that's how I imagine a rushed Pokemon game to be like. Nintendo forcing holiday 2018 release to keep momentum leading to corners being cut to release on time.

I spent hours playing Voltorb Flip and listening to the Game Corner music. It was much better than the usual Game Corner games. Game Corner is also the reason why Gold and Silver have 12+ age rating on 3DS. I can see why they decided to leave it out / change it in later games. Going from 3+ to 12+ is a big jump for such a minor thing.

@link3710 I can see the image just fine. Maybe I'm always logged in? Pokemon is one of those franchises that can and should compete with the other games during the holiday season. It's one of the few franchises that has nothing to worry about. I'm more worried about a potential late 2018 release for Fire Emblem!

@Grumblevolcano Well, that was just a rumour, and it was the only one. It's been all over the place with rumours, maybe because the expectations are bigger for this game. The first ''console'' Pokemon game, and after BOTW and Odyssey, expectations are high. That's why we're getting rumours that range from reboots to every fan's dream come true, and possibly also the reason why even the unlikeliest ideas (like a releasing a half-finished game) don't even sound that far fetched anymore.

We probably will get it this year, though TBH I don't mind if it gets delayed a bit. I know the internet (as a whole) is excited, but some of these rumors...eesh....

Well a JRPJ Pokemon would be something interesting to see but if things goes as they are now it most likely looks we will have a NS JRPJ Pokemon sometime in the near future.

So, it's probably not a new evolution for Eevee, but instead a special form akin the Spiky-eared Pichu.

I've been yearning for an "ancient" Magikarp for years. The Pokédex entries often make mention of how much more powerful Magikarp was in the distant past, and it would make perfect sense for that form to only be accessible via a fossil (or a new game that is set hundreds if not thousands of years ago). This would of course need to be complemented with a new Gyarados form or perhaps a new evolutionary line that is exclusive to fossil Magikarp.

Other Pokémon should receive the same treatment as well. I would love to see what Genesect looked like before it was modified by Team Plasma.

Personally, I would prefer that Pokémon is delayed so that Game Freak produce the best possible game that they can. Many of us longtime Pokémon players feel quite burned out by the franchise due to the underwhelming nature of many of the more recent entries in the series, and while I would LOVE to have a main series console Pokémon game as soon as possible, I would rather that they pull all the stops and take as long as they need.

After all, they will be recycling this engine throughout the lifespan of the Switch, so they may as well perfect it the first time.

If this game is just XY/SM in HD, I am staying as far away from it as possible. This is the console market, Game Freak is playing with the big boys now so the game should have FAR more content than the previous games. If BotW is too much for them, they should at least target something more like Twilight Princess, that would be a reasonable step up for them that would still feel console-esque.
