@Sir_Anthony : Don't tease us with what could have been. I would absolutely LOVE that. I'll take the Vanilluxe version as well, please.
If Game Freak makes any future "Go" games, I think the second version should showcase a "dud" Pokémon. I can see such versions potentially outselling the "safe" mascot version.
Porygon did nothing wrong.

I think it fits to rename this for Let's Go and have a separate thread for Pokemon 2019 given how over half of this thread has been related to the Let's Go leaks.

Basically this. Leaks pointed to a Pokemon game this year, GameFreak mentioned a Pokemon game coming in 2018 (or later), so most of the talk has been about the Let's Go games in this thread.
Not sure if anyone has already asked this, but what used to be the pkmn option during battles looks like it got replaced with a help thing. Maybe "help" as in help w/ capturing by battling using one of your own pokemon?? Or maybe just a lame "pls explain to me how this game works" option that's just always there...
Somehow I'm not surprised that this thread took off in the 24ish hours that I ignored the forums. XD
Y'know, I've decided to give one of these (likely the Eevee version) a shot. These may be more casual than the mainline entries, but maybe the change of pace here will feel refreshing in its own way. Plus, the Gen VIII games will be here next year.
...Looks like I need to get busy on Ultra Sun before these release then.

So it seems you don't level up your Pokemon in the regular way. It's more like Pokemon GO; according to Masuda there are other ways to level up your Pokemon. I guess you can increase their CP like in GO, but you're forced to catch new Pokemon every once in a while when they become too weak?
If the Let's Go games can pull in the casual Pokemon GO crowd - but provide a substantial enough experience to tide the 'core' fan over until 'Pokemon Switch 2019' - it could be a pretty smart play...
...the only concern I have at this stage is regarding the depth of the experience - I hope that the Let's Go games aren't so 'casual' that you can just breeze through them in a few short sittings - but, provided that they're fairly robust and/or replayable games, featuring a healthy amount of content, I'll be more than happy to jump in
The idea of having a dockable, co-op Pokemon game - even if it's not quite the 'real deal' - will probably be enough for me...a childhood dream come true! (..followed by, next year, a full realisation of that same dream! )
Has anyone seen a store that is allowing pre-orders for the Pokeballs? I see these things selling out quickly and since I will need to buy 2 want to get them locked down asap. I got the game preordered but haven't found them up anywhere yet, thanks in advance if anyone knows a place!
I don't think I'll even bother with the pokeball accessory.
Remember when Pokemon games came bundled with their accessories?
I still have the Pokewalker accessory from SoulSilver. No clue if it still works, but it definitely got plenty of use! I logged over 20K steps in Disney's Magic Kingdom a few years ago.
