@FroZtedFlakerZz Oh the lore is gonna be good, I mean how the hell, can you mess up lore, that was already built up in D&P.

@FroZtedFlakerZz looks like you don't know how GameFreak employees level up compered to rest of the world gaming when comes to Pokémon. Plus Main Line/Core games was handheld games, so they still need time to adopt themselves to very big jump of hardware stably not rushed too. So if graphics would been many times better then it is now, like you mentioned that graphics are bad in your eyes, then it would have like 10+ times more bugs/glitches/errors/so on then Cyberpunk 2077 had at launch and gameplay/story would be multiple times worse then the game I mentioned or any Main Line/Core Pokémon game so far. So better graphics would mean they making and made worst game atm in history.

@SViper well from that inside information you just for sure know I have to assume you work at GameFreak lol
Jokes aside, the game can have bad graphics and still have bad gameplay or good graphics and still have good gameplay, we don't know, and that's the facts
So all I was saying is I hope it's fun so that the graphics problem (which may just be my opinion not liking it), isn't a real problem. I can deal with bad graphics if the games are really fun, that's basically N64 nowadays lol

I went from pretty low excitement for Arceus, to barely contained excitement, after enjoying Pokemon Shield as much as I did. If Arceus can improve some of the weaker animations in S/S (I say some of, because people really focus in on the bad ones and kinda ignore there are loads of really awesome looking moves in S/S) and improve the technical performance (which we already saw a little of in the DLC for S/S, it looks like they were able to stabilise the online FPS issues somewhat but that pop in is rancid. If it really is like seamless battle transitions in the open world, they really gotta sort out something for draw distances), then I’d honestly be more than happy with the package we get.

I know people want this to be Pokemon: BOTW (which it looks like this won’t be and may possibly never happen) but I honestly don’t need something that ambitious, especially if it uses the more aimless and generally quite frustrating quest approach of Crown Tundra for it’s progression loop as well.

@Pizzamorg Not everything needs to be BOTW, I mean Every open world like game is going to get compared to it, fair, But it doesn't need to be it.

But ya, I'm really hyped for this game.

@Snatcher TBF, they themselves are marketing this game as BOTW-but-Pokemon, with a similar-ish art style, the over-the-shoulder pans of the main character while standing on a cliff overlooking a large open world. Can't blame the people for expecting something similar in that case.

@Octane I totally agree with you, I also found it kinda messed up that they Said the game isn't really an open world game, but more like an open area, Just blows, Sure I didn't really care, but still kinda messed up how you market it one way, then act like people were not going to see BOTW pokemon.

I might be wrong, but I got the impression that people meant they want Arceus to be for Pokemon what BOTW was to Zelda. Not that they necessarily want it to be "BOTW but with Pokemon", but that they want something that makes a big step forward for the series and switches things up a bit after numerous entries that had felt a bit copy and paste...

From all I hear and from insiders this weeks sounds like best week to drop new trailer/information about game, I feel it, if it happen, it will happen at Game Awards, because that way trailer and game will get way more publicity then regular way.

@SViper Insiders are never credible for one, and secondly, I doubt that news will drop at TGA. There's a tournament for pokemon that spans from the beginning of this month to sometime in February, and they promised we're getting gameplay then.

@DomGC TPC has had involvement in the Game Awards previously like last year's Wooper Watch event for Pokemon GO so it's not impossible. But a random shadow drop trailer at some time on twitter would also be fitting.

@Grumblevolcano If they're involved with TGA, it's usually a very small involvement. Not something that's big like most of their games.

@VoidofLight I don't think they waiting till begging of January to continue game's promotion, because that tournament was already moved to begging of January. So there should be at least one trailer this month, because that would start give feeling that they giving up on sell a lot copies of game. Plus I was talking about my feeling and usual knowledge when comes to sell Pokémon games.
@DomGC I saw only insider's tweet saying such a period, so.

@SViper The thing is, just because they don't do the Game Awards doesn't mean they won't continue to advertise this game this month. There's bound to be a trailer, yes, but there is a tournament happening this month, spanning into February. There's bound to be some gameplay around this month.

@VoidofLight and you misread me, I just saying trailer at big event will get more publicity then regular way at their channel.

@SViper Yeah, it would, but the thing is, Gamefreak usually doesn't do stuff like that. Plus, they have their own big event happening at the moment, which tons of people are tuning in to watch as it occurs.

@SViper Did they confirm that the gameplay event was in January? Since to my knowledge, they never confirmed officially when the gameplay for Legends would be shown off.

@VoidofLight my one of Pokémon YouTubers, who does almost daily news/rumors/leaks videos, showed schedule that the first broadcast of that event will happen one of the first days of January.
