@Snatcher Yeah, I noticed the reused animations too. Hopefully they’ll change it as the game’s probably in early development.

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

OMG. Color me impressed. I did not see this coming for even one second. This is a similar situation to Super Mario Odyssey: Unexpectedly putting ambition into a series that is already selling so well. As a longtime gamer, I love to see it. I love to see it so much. I teared up.

@Octane @jump I'm still giving them a pass bc there is still time to clean it up, it might have been early footage. (Thats a BIG Might) but game freak knows we will buy it so what are we gonna do.

@BabyYoda71 I feel like that may be due to them leading with a certain other pair of games...oh boy, I feel bad for those developers having to make their first game for that fandom.

@JustMe This is what I’m so confused about. A long time ago I asked why people wanted D&P remakes. From what I could gather from reviews, it was even worse that Sw/Sh. Based on how the community reacted to SW/SH, I don’t understand why the same people wanted D&P remakes. They announced it, and I knew people would hate it. I think they probably would have hated it no matter how different it was. I never played any Pokémon game before Switch, so I’m not an expert on this subject, but it confuses me.

They have done away with the dual releases too, Game Freak really are learning!

@Snatcher Eh. They've got a lot to prove after SWSH.

@JustMe Agreed.

Eel

@jump it really mostly feels like they intend to make this a spin-off series, instead of the new main template.

So expect pairs to return.

Not convinced I won't end up enjoying D/P remakes more, but this really seems like GF sticking its neck out from its position of safety. Excited to hear more about this.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

@Eel Actually yeah, I notice it's offically "Pokemon Legends: Arceus" so the : makes it looks spin off-ish but it seems strange they will go to this much effort for a spin off though.

Arceus feels like it'll be the last Pokemon game we'll get until the next Nintendo platform.

Looking good.

My question, will Arceus catchable on this game without gimmick of limited time edition ?

Most likely, it seems like the legendary of the game

Games I'm playing right now:
Tears of the Kingdom - Switch

Kingdom Hearts 2 - PS4
Ace Attorney Trilogy - Switch

jump

@Eel Yeah it seems very third version-ish as there doesn't seem to be any new pokes at all in the game from the choice of starters and Arceus being on the cover.

I thought that presentation would just be Diamond and Pearl remakes, which I don't really care about even though I love Sinnoh, but this was a very pleasant surprise. The main series Pokemon games were starting to get quite stale so I'm very excited to see them try something new.

@BabyYoda71 I would say the reason people want Diamond and Pearl remakes is because nostalgia has made people appreciate the games more in spite of their flaws, or (like me) they played the games as children and have fond memories of them. Expect to see people clamouring for Galar remakes in 15 or 20 years.

@JustMe Yeah, the best in its genre. I agree. But compared to other games Pokemon have always felt a bit budget-y. Especially since the 3D games. Most of the other Pokemon clones are a joke IMO, and that's not something you want to compare it to. This is an open world game, so I'm going to compare it to BOTW, The Witcher 3, RDR2, Horizon Zero Dawn, anything really!

I really hope Nintendo, or whoever is helping them out with this game, because it seems very ambitious. And I want it to be good. I don't want this opportunity to go to waste.
