@Dogorilla
You know, i have other monster breeding games on NDS like Monster Farm 4 PS2, Zettai Onkan Otoda Master NDS and they have very different gameplay as Pokemon.
In my opinion, their ideas looks better than 10 years old kid that sent into journey to become Pokemon master by get challenged by other peoples all the time.

For next Pokemon games, i want to see a completely different plot that wasn't about 10 years kid journey, leaving from Mom's house again, meet with the Professor, Team villains, Gym leader, etc.
The plot choices:
1. Become Pokemon trainer after get stranded on island and lost the memory
2. A feud between two different region that lead by elder and young siblings.
3. A mysterious creatures from other galaxy that take over Pokemon world.

They need to show that Pokemon creatures can die by aging / illness / killed but in kids friendly way, like Monster Farm anime. And the owner or peoples will cry to lose them forever. It will be a life lesson for kids that anyone can die, not fainting all the time. Kids need to be educated by that reality.

Never thought you'd be the person advocating death in Pokemon games.

@JustMe not to mention the plot of generation 6 basically features off-screen mass pokemon murder. (And nobody really cares about it in game!).

These starters..... I don't know about it. Why couldn't they have just used the sinnoh starters? Also, since rowlet is here, does that mean z moves return as well? I also saw wild piplup so can we catch empoleon in the wild?

If you spoil a game i will find you.

I assume it simply means the sinnoh starters are not really starters at this point. These three are random pokemon brought to the region by the professor.

The starters are my three favorite starters in the series so I'm happy in that regard.

Thing is I think this applies to all the games as you never find that regions starters in the wild so the professor must have brought them from another region.

@jump It's usually implied they're just rare within their region.

The fact you can't normally catch more of them, I believe it is more tied to the "gotta catch them all" aspect of having to trade with friends to complete the pokedex.

@Eel Yeah I get it's "gotta catch them all" is the real reason but the in game logic says they should be in the region if they are from the region, so the Professors being the ones to introduce the species in the area sort of fixes that even if it they are an invasive species which upsets the natrual order.

@Snaplocket I'm a bit sceptical too, but we can't really judge it at this point given how little we know about the game. I agree with those saying that some assistance from Nintendo or another developer (Bandai Namco?) would likely benefit the game.

@Anti-Matter Well, this game does seem like it might have quite a different plot, don't you think? Again, too early to say for sure, but it's a different setting to usual at least.

@jump Then where's that region filled with start Pokemon?

Octane

jump

@Octane The region from one of the crappy spin off games that always seems to have all the good pokes in them. ;p

@JustMe Yeah, that's the biggest problem. The fixation on annual games. The good news is that the remakes are outsourced, so that gives them a little more time. But I wouldn't mind if this was delayed to late 2022, or 2023 even, if that means it's going to be a better game because of it. Tough I guess by late 2023 they will be 'forced' to have the next generation done.

From what I've seen in the trailer. It looked rough. And yes, I know, it's early footage. But the game is supposedly a year away from release, and most other games tend to look like their final product at this stage. So again, if Nintendo, or another studio could help them out, that would be great, because I rather have a great game, than a half-baked product rushed out to meet a deadline. Pokémon is the biggest media franchise on the planet, they can afford the additional development costs.
