@Fujin 100 is max level, I accidentally wayyyy overleveled my team and it didn't do much it was just a little easier @Fizza I just caught a shiny Machoke the other day, evolved it with a Linking Cable and nicknamed my new green Machamp Hulk lol
Games I'm playing right now:
OoT N64
DK64 N64
Lego LotR Wii
Spirit Tracks DS
TotK Switch
@Eel No I'm saying is the candy really needed in the game because it's easy to level up without them. I'm wanting to know this because they give a huge profit when you sell them. I just want to be sure that if I sell them I'm not going to be messing up something in the game. Meaning I would actually need them later.
@BrittGOAL14 Yea everything can be sold in the game. Just a decision of if it's worth selling or if it's better for other uses. Guess it's a matter of preference in what to sell. Those alphas give you tons of experience when grinding by the way.
To achieve something it takes more than practice it takes belief and confidence that you will succeed.
@Eel Yea lol. I meant some pokemon evolve only through evolution stones but the other ninety percent of pokemon are from leveling up. Like eevee for example. I need to try evolving evee to jolteon. Which one is better jolteon or luxray.

So I bought a peat block from Ginter today. Went to my item storage and absolutely cannot find it. Even organized it thinking I overlooked it but it’s not with any of my other evolution items. What the heck?

I was just doing some outbreaks in the Mirelands when, after they had all dissipated, a random shiny Petilil pops up out of nowhere!
I wrote this 2 days ago and, literally verbatum, it happened again. I had just finished my massive mass outbreaks for the Mirelands when ANOTHER shiny Petilil popped up. In the same location no less! I'm thinking about transferring this one over to SV once HOME compatability is released for those games since then I can get a shiny regular Lilligant along with my Hisuian one.
That's not where the story ends though. About 2 hours later, I have another outbreak, this time in the Icelands. After doing ones like Magby, Kirlia and Oshawott, the first one in the Gastly outbreak was shiny as well! I caught it in a Jet Ball and am going to turn it into a Gengar thanks to the godsend that is the Link Cord.
After riding the high of getting these two beauties, I decide to perfect some dex entries for Bergmite and Rufflet in the Fieldlands. After getting all that done and reporting back to Laventon, I notice I've only caught 19 mons. Desperate for the money bonus of 20 caught, I turn around to catch the first thing I see. That first thing just so happened to be a Shiny Shinx. An ALPHA Shiny Shinx. It was probably the first time in a long time in PLA where I screamed out loud at finding a shiny. After a nerve-wracking few minutes where it refused to stay in an Ultra Ball, I was finally able to catch it (and before you ask, no, I won't be evolving it. He's perfect just the way he is, plus I also have a shiny Luxio so that helps too).
I've said it many times before but I'll say it again: WHAT IS MY LUCK IN PLA!?

After missing out on shiny Buneary (who I encountered the day after launch, and I foolishly didn’t save prior to the encounter AND accidentally initiated battle with it when I meant to throw a ball), I’ve caught three awesome shinies today!
My first two caught shinies were Zubat (now Crobat) and Geodude (now Golem), which were really underwhelming, because I had already caught a Zubat and two shiny Geodude in Let’s Go, Eevee (the former of which I couldn’t evolve into a Crobat in that game anyway, which dulled any enthusiasm for having it at all).
And they were the only two battling Pokémon I’ve had on my team (as I figured shinies would be easy enough to come by that I committed myself to an all shiny team) until past the credits roll. A few days ago, I caught a shiny Toxicroak in an outbreak. Not my favourite Pokémon, but its shiny is just gorgeous. And today I’ve caught Finneon (now Lumineon), Hisuian Sneasel (now Sneasler), and I just caught Gligar and couldn’t believe my luck, especially as both Finneon and Gligar weren’t from outbreaks, and I don’t have a shiny charm either.
I’ll soon be able to retire Crobat/Golem at long last.
And that shiny jingle will never cease to send my heart racing.
@Silly_G It's such a satisfying noise to hear when you're just wandering about the place and all of a sudden, bbbrRING! It's so good.
As for myself, I've gotten fully sucked into shiny hunting thanks to both the variety of methods to get them across all of the Switch Pokemon games and the announcement of Scarlet/Violet which will introduce tons of new mons to grab shinies of. In PLA alone, I've managed to grab a total of 40 shinies already thanks to the Shiny Charm being significantly easier to grab than in other games, perfecting dex entries halving the odds, along with the obvious of outbreaks. There's too many different ones to list but my favourites include:
All Hisuian evos except for Ursaluna and Overqwil (despite me having perfected Qwilfish's entry before even starting the post game grumble grumble)
Hisuian Arcanine, Growlithe, Electrode and Lilligant.
2 completely full odds Distortion mons in Rapidash and Drapion (I hadn't even got Research Level 10 prior to finding them, with the Rapidash being my first shiny in the game)
A ? Unown that I hunted for myself (which I got in 58 resets and 225 Unown caught).
And a Dewott from an outbreak which became a Hisuian Samurott, my first ever shiny starter.
