I feel sorry for the shiny hunters in this game, the real rare ones are shiny alphas which are bloody hard to get compared to getting shinies in the past games.
I already feel like Arloās review is going to be him disappointed because āwhile they tried many things, they still didnāt push far enoughā, or something.
@Eel TBH, when I asked you I didn't think it would be this many LOL.
@VoidofLight He said he love it in his first impressions, but you might be right, at least when he does reviews they are very thought out, so we will see.
I kinda don't like beatemups tho, The dude just kinda jumps on any hate train anyway.

@Eel I haven't found that many shinies whilst hunting (even though it feels like I can find random full odds ones on a dime) but the ones I have I'm very fond of:
The first shiny I successfully hunted for was a Galarian Slowpoke. I was doing it in preparation for the Isle of Armor coming out LITERALLY THE NEXT WEEK but, after having many SwSh hunts go MIA prior, I was prepared to not get it. I not only got it in 72 eggs, but it was also a SQUARE shiny (the much rarer of the 2 sparkles when breeding). Needless to say, I was freaking the flip out but once I did, I had the biggest grin on my face. I nicknamed him Sonny, evolved him into a Galarian Slowbro and used him for the entire IoA storyline. One of my favourite, most personal team members ever.
The next one came a LOOONG time later. I had just finished most of BDSP and decided to try and get a shiny before PLA came out. I decided on Kricketot because it and Kricketune's are shockingly great (seriously, look them up, they're fantastic). So I busted out the PokeRadar on Route 203 and begun the hunt. LITERALLY THE NIGHT BEFORE PLA CAME OUT, I managed to get it after 29 chains (at odds of 1/1456). I then proceeded to get FOUR MORE before the chain broke. I'm planning on bringing one of them to PLA now once Home compatibility comes out so, in a way, everything comes full circle!
And finally, the most recent one. And when I say recent, I mean TODAY. I was doing some requests in Legends when a Sneasel outbreak popped up. Hearing about a new shiny hunting method involving outbreaks, I did what DomGC told me to in regards to how to hunt them and on the second reset, after about 18 Sneasels overall, that glorious gold and black one popped up. I then evolved it into a Sneasler and the rest is history.

@Sdelintwouters Well I remember back when everyone was talking about if pokemon unite was pay to win or not, The dude makes a video saying it is (Its not), and maybe it would give you a little boost if you payed, but one, it would not make you win, and two, someone with no items can do as good as someone with level 30 items, (Note I say at the time, since then they added coins so this is not even remotely an issue), But his video, at least from what I remember, didn't even try to see if was really, just copy and pasted what everyone else that didn't understand, say.
HELL even arlo said pokemon unite was gross, but not because of the pay to win thing, but the skins, which he is right about.
There content is also pretty boring now in my opinion, idk I kinda saw it go down hill about 2 years ago, when I used to like the guy. note tho, this is all opinion, he's a great guy, and makes content i'm sure other's like yourself will Enjoy, its not bad per say, just not my taste at all anymore.
(Also don't quote me, as I need to check that unite video just to be sure)

The BeatemUps review was good. And entertaining. As was his MH Rise review
Idk why that guy turns me off so much though. I think it's because he sucks on the teat of controversy for attention. I remember him flaming Xenoblade fans with tweets about the game being 360p or something, after trashing the game in his review (which its fine to give a negative review, but flaming ppl afterward made me question whether bias was a motivator for the negative review also). Which, there's a lot more nuance to the game than just throwing a number out. It ran at 720p at looked pretty dang good, but had some severe drops in the clouds. Which everyone realized after playing long enough. But he took that and spun it in such a way to imply the entire game runs at 360p, and that's the sort of misinformation I detest most- taking true statements or facts, but implying something else by omitting the nuance or the qualifier that describes that provides the context for that information.
I'm pretty sure that's why Nintendo dropped him, even though he couldn't see it or understand why.
But, I must admit he has done a number of quality reviews since then, and hasn't been nearly as off-putting.
@VoidofLight@Fizza Ah, I see, thanks! I wish they would stop putting content behind stuff like that, but at least it isn't that necessary or significant then.
@Snatcher I agree about him. His content is usually him saying that he's addicted to whatever game people are talking about and repeating the most popular opinions so I'm skeptical that he really forms or at least dares to really share his own. Not because he tends to agree with the majority, but because he usually doesn't give any kind of input that feels actually genuine, unlike Aarlo or SwitchUp that I feel more sincere regardless of the veredict. He also tends to exploit something as much as he's able like the time Nintendo ended his partnership with him or another time that he got sick, and it kinda made me feel like he tries hard to appeal to people's empathy to get gifts and other stuff. I know that youtubers and influencers are appreciated so they usually receive things either way but something about him rubs me the wrong way.
I remember his MH Stories 2 review made me feel like he doesn't get how different genres work and that despite being positive about it in general, he reached a positive conclusion about a game that didn't seem to really appeal to him just to please the audience. His observations and problems with it gave me the impression that he doesn't even want to play games like that.
Also, his tabs, overreacting and general behaviour are annoying to me. I think that "cringe" is the word for that, I'm not sure.
@JaxonH I find Arlo to be great background noise while doing other things personally. There's something about his way of speaking that's very good to have on while doing other things.

@JaxonH the Xenoblade review was just dumb, since the dude clearly didn't play much of the game, but just left it on so it looked like he did. 2 is a meh game, but I don't agree with his review on it. I also kinda felt put off by his thumbnails, since they all seem to be the same annoying and generic clickbait thumbnails you'd see on any other Nintendo Youtuber's channel.

@roy130390 OMG you read my mind, the partnership video is what did it for me, Sure it sucked but he just, didn't feel genuine about it at all, and the thumbnails, truly read my mind.
