@ShieldHero And to add to that, apparently pokémon obtained in Legends Z-A can't be sent to older games either.
It's definitely something to do with how they are coded in this game - it would be nice if the developers went a bit into detail regarding what happened, if the backlash from Sword/Shield hadn't scared them away from doing any more interviews.
Anyway, that's pretty disappointing. I'll have to rethink some things regarding which ones I'll use.
Love the look of the Xenobladeesque battle system, it also makes certain stats and buff / debuff abilities relevant (within theory) for like the first time ever outside of like tournament PVP play. Almost all of the Mega Evos revealed look really cool. I bought a Switch 2 and it basically has sat gathering dust waiting for this to game come out 😂
As someone who likes Pokemon but has zero interest in Xenoblade, partially because of the convoluted combat system, it makes me nervous about Z-A everytime I see someone say this 😖
@FishyS It honestly looks simpler version of XB I would say, since there won't be like... chain attacks or anything (if there is, I'll be plain surprised). But yeah, overall it's mostly just that you can press buttons to tell your mons to attack and moving around is important, which sounds just plain fun
@FishyS It shouldn't be as complicated as Xenoblade (within theory) cause it is just you and your mon you are controlling, and beyond mega evos, there arent like things you are building up to, or combos to manage, or gauges or any of that stuff.
@ShieldHero@BrazillianCara From what it seems like, the issue regarding not being able to transfer pokemon back might be linked to the new language they're adding translation support to for this game. It's the first Pokemon game that will be using Latin American Spanish rather than just Spain Spanish. They probably had a technical issue when coding for Pokemon that makes it to where they can't be brought back to their original games after bringing them into Z-A.

watched the JP Final Trailer and this give it so much more hype lmao. Godssssssss I'm so excited about this game. Decided to withhold buying the DLC until I know how much it adds to the game though
@darkfenrir The JP trailer basically confirms both that underground areas exist in-game, and that the city will have active construction that develops it further through the game.

@darkfenrir Honestly, even if the underground areas aren't too big, we still will probably get a ton of side-quests. The Looker bureau quests will probably be a large part of the exploration and expansion of this game.

@VoidofLight Oh yeah, that part will be a lot too! I was just thinking more on the like, how big the map will be? Hopefully it will be pretty dense though, with things to do on nearly everywhere
Ughh, I really want to give the game a try already. (And hoping they will give more information on the DLC story sooner than later, I want to decide whether as soon as I can)
The final Japanese trailer gives me good vibes. I watched a video about the technical side of Z-A and I liked that too. Totally missed the part about developing the city though. That sounds really interesting.
@Jhena Oh mind sharing the video? I always enjoy watching some technical stuff being talked about when it's digestible (sometimes the video goes somewhere I don't really get because it was too technical haha)
But yeah, the developing part is pretty cool! the city will change as we move in the story Always cool to see that kind of thing. I did enjoy it when PLA showed how the city changed as well (even if I didn't finish it)
Nothing too complicated and I like his calm and friendly aura. The most important stuff for me is, that it is an improvement from Scarlet/Violet. I think it just looks really nice.
Watching how the city changes will be cool. It will make it feel more alive, I think. Definitely something to look forward to. And I also enjoyed that aspect in Legends Arceus.
@Jhena alright! Went and finished watching it and yeppp that's great watch i really like it and makes me wish that Digimon will also release on switch 2 hahah.
We'll see how it goes for that one, but for now, very excited for ZA
Until today, still very very few Pokemon design with Martial Art looking like Sawk for Judo.
Hitmonchan doesn't look very appealing to me as Boxer Pokemon, I want something cool athletic looking Pokemon design.
Machoke design is not really the right design for Bodybuilder Pokemon in my opinion, not a fan of four arm creatures like Machamp.
Looks like Sawk is not in this game. 😟
So sad...
