@Bolt_Strike Yes, it's incredibly tiring.
I used an Alpha Dragonite with the Extreme Speed move, in the 3-battle restaurant, and with the animations disabled.

I'm glad you still need a Dusk Stone to get Aegislah. Doublade is great.

@NoodleWad You’ll ended up drowning in Candy XL after a few hours of the DLC, it’s everywhere in hyperspace.

@Rob3008 haha yeah I can see that now. Not much reason to continue playing the ranked seasons for me.

Just got F rank for the main mission. Just out of curiosity, does any have recommendations for specific Pokemon I should be leveling up through this game? I think I’m spending a lot of wasted time ensuring I have a bunch leveled up at the same time so I have a wide range of options for any given battle. I just wonder how useful it’ll be by the end of the game. If I don’t need to have 15+ at the recommended level I won’t keep doing so. Any guidance for types, or specific Pokemon will help. For reference, I started with totodile, got the special story driven one who im forgetting the name of, and charizard should i just grind those 3 and cherry pick 3-4 more to level up?

@NintendoByNature You can choose whichever one you want, that's the beauty of Pokemon. But it's recommended that you have a diverse team that can counter a variety of types. You'll generally want to take advantage of all 6 spots in your party for that. So we need more detail than Totodile, Charizard, and "the special story driven one" (Absol?). If you can decide on 4 or 5 of them we can help you figure out what your team is lacking.

@Bolt_Strike sorry for the late reply, just realized I never responded. I’m using feralgatr, abomasnow, haunter, charizard, riolouie, and absol. I think that’s a pretty wide variety of types but I’m open to suggestions.

@NintendoByNature That's a pretty good team for the most part but there's a few that are a tad redundant. You don't really need Absol and Haunter, you can get rid of one of them (I'd recommend replacing Absol if you can trade with someone to evolve that Haunter, otherwise get rid of Haunter). I'm not really sure you need both Feraligatr and Abomasnow either, I'd consider getting rid of Abomasnow if you're not in love with it. But I'm also not really sure what else to add if you get rid of both Abomasnow and one of Absol/Haunter, so that might be overkill.

As far as Ground types to consider, it's a bit tricky to find a good one that fits your team. Most of the better ones in this game (certainly all of the ones that can Mega Evolve) share types with other Pokemon in your party so your options are less than ideal here (it's not the end of the world to have two Pokemon that share a type but it does make your party more susceptible to being wiped out by a single Pokemon and you might find yourself neglecting one in favor of another). Your options for Ground in the main game are (if I'm not missing anyone) Steelix, Camerupt, Garchomp, Hippowdon, Excadrill, and Krookodile. All of them except Hippowdon and Krookodile can Mega Evolve but also all of them except Hippowdon has a second type shared with something else on your team, and to my knowledge Hippowdon hasn't been that good of a Pokemon (although if you really like Hippowdon, you should be able to get by with one). My gut instinct would be to say Garchomp, it is Dragon but your Feraligatr only becomes Dragon when Mega Evolving so there's less overlap there. But again your choice, if there's one on that list that really stands out to you, go for it.

@NintendoByNature if you want to evolve that haunter, let me know and I'd be happy to trade with you. I promise I will send it right back.

@Bolt_Strike thanks for bearing with a newbie like me. I’ve really only played a handful of Pokemon games so I’m pretty green when it comes to all that. I thought having abomasnow would fill the gap since it’s a grass type and I didn’t have a grass type in my lineup. I can part ways with asbol I suppose if there’s a better option out there. I think the only one I have in my pokedex is krokorok but I can level them up and eventually they’ll evolve correct?
@NoodleWad I have no problem doing that, I just don’t know how to do any of that. I’ve never traded before🤦

@NintendoByNature do you have Nintendo Switch Online, either a basic or expansion pack membership?

Don't worry I will walk you through it.

@NintendoByNature sweet, in the X menu of the game choose link play then link trade. Select faraway players and input the code I created: 1158 2256

I will keep the code the same, so once you are ready let me know.

@NintendoByNature There's 18 Pokemon types in the game, you don't need to worry about having one of each, it's impossible to fit all of that on a team, you just need to worry about being able to account for as many types and type combos as possible. If you're not familiar with type matchups, you can view a type chart here:

https://pokemondb.net/type

Wild Zone 8 has multiple Ground types if you would like to use something other than Krokorok (that's probably where you got the Krokorok in the first place). Other options there include Numel/Camerupt (the Camerupt there is an Alpha and might be too strong for you right now though), Drillbur, and Gible.

@NintendoByNature ok I will be there waiting.

Also I personally recommend getting Gible, it reaches its final evolution later than the other ground types in wild zone 8 (final form at level 48).
