Morpeko is definitely interesting. I prefer the dark cuteness of Mimikyu for a Pika clone, but the concept is definitely interesting. I'm now officially adding "hangry" to my vocabulary. XD As for the Galarian forms, I absolutely love them.

Bede and Marnie seem like interesting characters and look to be a nice change of pace as far as rivals go. Gladion was a step in the right direction but seemed less arrogant and more of a "chip on my shoulder" type of guy. Granted, there's a such thing as TOO much arrogance. Kid me named Blue in the original games some rude things..... ;-P

I agree. Team Skull was just a bunch of hooligans messing around and causing trouble. I felt that they were written pretty well (for Pokemon, anyway) and loved how most Alolan NPCs didn't take them seriously. They made me smile more than once and were definitely much, MUCH better than the poorly done Team Flare in Gen 6.

Pretty much the same as Team Mouthexcrement in S&M. RR was too late in the piece to be the main evil team for USUM.

Eh. At least they had a excuse for being incompetent (being no more than just edgy teens), and didn’t like, try to end the world in some cliche way. That was refreshing at least.

Rainbow Rocket was nothing more than a bonus fan service dungeon with no actual role whatsoever so I don’t count them.

With team yell, I don’t expect them to be, like, an organized group. At most I’d see them as the paid thugs to cover up for the real evil team early on, with them being mostly just a regular toxic fandom on their own.

I'll be honest, Zigzagoon's line is pretty much one of the last I'd expect to get a new evolution. They usually leave the early rodent lines alone.

Unless they want to add the dark type to them, I guess.

I like the original 'goon better, though the new one is kinda cute. Don't really care about the evolutions.

Anyway, can't wait for dark sentret.

I love Gallarian Weezing so much. I really hope we can catch a Koffing at a reasonable point in the story this time, unlike in old games where he doesn't pop up until right near the end.

So far I like the new Pokemon shown and new forms. I like the job idea too.

New rival is kinda boring looking. Just white hair and pick jacket. The leader of Team Yell is super cute though. Shame she is attached to what looks like an even lamer version of Team Skull. I really hope that, like Skull, they aren't the real villains. I actually like the idea we had in SM (the idea not the execution) of them just being local thugs hired by actual bad guys. I can see a whole redemption arc thing for them, learning to just be fans, and their leader rejecting the dirty tactics in the end. Perhaps after being betrayed and tossed aside by some real antagonists we have yet to see.

That's a good point. I would actually like it if she hated them. Would make things more interesting. But the video wasn't overly clear... also I was still half asleep when I watched it.

I also think Team Yell is a red herring, similar to what happened with Team Skull in Alola. That WOULD be funny if they actually annoy Marnie though....

This is more or less correct, though it did help flesh out the post-game in USUM. That was one of my complaints with the original pair. The fights against the bosses (stuck with my main team, no legendaries) were quite fun and somewhat challenging. I actually had to shelve battling Giovanni and come back later. Mega Mewtwo X had some amazing counters, hit harder than a speeding truck, and had the speed to be said truck as well. It also didn't help that half of my team had Fighting type vulnerabilities or was a glass cannon.

Both his mewtwo and the complete necrozma took me a few tries.

Doesn't help that every Pokémon in my team was weak to rock. Which seems to be a recurring move type in these harder battles.

@Heavyarms55 I think we're going to see that again. I'd bet money Chairman Rose is going to end up being the actual big bad of the game. No idea what his actual goal could be yet though...

Just plain old corruption would make sense.

The Pokémon league already runs the entire show. Doing anything to maintain the status quo going would be a logical goal.

Really? You think it's the man? I thought that woman they went out of their way to all his assistant would be the more likely suspect. Manipulating things from behind the scenes to take his job - which seems like basically leader of the whole region.

Also nothing about the man/woman thing, I just can't remember their names.

Looking at these new forms, someone in the dev team must be a KISS fan! No doubt in my mind!

I've also seen comparisons between Galarian Weezing and Doug Dimmadome from The Fairly Oddparents.

The funniest comparisons IMO are the ones that draw parallels between Pokemon's own toxic fandom and Team Yell. =3
