@Silly_G Is catching it that bad?

Heh. I used my Master Ball on Mesprit, forgetting that there's a second "runner" in the game.

But that's why Mean Look is a thing. None if them use Roar to override it's effect, so that should make the process of catching easier.

I usually just keep walking back and forth between two routes until the runner in question appears in the one I'm in. It can get frustrating, but at least the marking map app helps.

Eel

Just weaken it and use quick balls.

Or train a Pokémon with mean look or block to prevent it from escaping at all.

@Eel those works only at first turn, second and later it works as normal Poké Ball. Better try Dusk Balls, because they are in caverns, but don't know if it counts like that, so for extra insurance wait till night time (8 PM - 4 AM).

Eel

@SViper since they (mesprit and cresselia) run away immediately, then next turn will the first turn too!

@Eel so they works like Roaming where you weaken them and they run away, then you can challenge again them and they will be weakened?

@SViper yes, these roaming Pokémon retain any damage done to them in between encounters.

Does the effect of Mean Look persist if you switch out? Crobat would be easy to obtain, but Cresselia is a Psychic type with Psycho Cut.

I was leaning towards Jynx (higher base speed, knows Mean Look, resists Psychic), since Mismagius (even higher speed, immune to Slash) is Shining Pearl only (barring trades, obviously).

Eel

@SViper no, just mesprit and cresselia.

Uxie and Azelf are normal stationary Pokémon.

@DarthNocturnal as far as I know the effect stays even if you switch out your Pokémon. Edit: huh it seems it ends if you switch it out. I didn’t know that.

I have Pearl. If anyone wants a misdreavus just say so.

@Eel Is it below Lv 30 or 50? (I am at the fourth gym entrance). I really wanted to have one, but get Diamond because I like Dialga more.

I think we can just use a code protected online room.

After that we can add each other as friends without needing the friend codes

@Eel Alright, give me a few seconds to get the NSO Free Trial. I forgot my Switch subscription got terminated, possibly because I never replied in my yahoo e-mail for two years (despite adding an extra year 2 months ago 😅).
