@Snatcher I literally just finished updating as you posted... Whoops.
It'll be fine though, I'll just get another one down the line. The reason I didn't do it immediately was because I was trying to get all of the trade evo items so we could do all of them at the same time. Thanks for offering your help though!

@Fizza Could I just trade you my real one and keep my copied ones? It could work right? because you just can't trade the copied mon.
I suppose it’s entirely possible that the game won’t be able to tel which one is the original and assume they’re all clones 🤔
@Fizza what I read is that if you want a shiny, it’s better to stop chaining somewhere around 20, and resetting the radar until you get the shiny, since you’re less likely to break the chain that way, and still get a fairly substantial boost to the odds.
After getting your shiny you can then go and try to get a higher chain.
Which btw, I tried after my Meowth, and the chain broke at 34 too 😩
So I was hoping to continue my Tyrogue hunt about 20 minutes ago but no matter what I did, all that kept spawning was Chinglings, Zubats and Bidoofs. I thought 'OK, maybe there's too many encounters at night, I'll just go do something else' and saw that there was a Zigzagoon swarm on Route 202. I thought 'Eh, why not, it has a decent shiny, might be a nice time killer'.
SEVENTEEN radar encounters later, it bloody pops up.
I have been.... at this stupid Tyrogue.... for over 110 radar encounters.... and the ONE time I switch to something else, I get it immediately. As you can imagine, I was both extremely p****d off and laughing so hard my sides were splitting.
I've nicknamed them Scurvy and they are now very precious to me as 'the one who showed up at both the best and worst time ever'.

I don't miss Poké Radar at all, so I'm not even going to bother with it this time around. I've spent much time chaining for Weepingbel in the original Pearl, but came up empty-handed.
Hey guys, quick question: I finished this one weeks ago (did have some issues on the final fights, but that was kind of refreshing and cool) and saw the credits roll, and at that point I was pretty burnt out on the game. I did see after the credits that you're back in your house and supposed to catch a boat or something. Is that a good chunk of content that I'm missing if I don't go back to look at it? Just wondering what I'm potentially missing out on.
You can now participate at the battle tower, which is a guantlet of battles against AI opponents using online rules. It's brutal but a good way to get ready for online pvp.
You can now also catch legendary pokemon, most from Ramanas park.
Edit: There's also a special shop that sells expensive ribbons and a spa to increase friendship.
I probably doubled my playtime in the battle tower, buy ymmv.
Is it just me or did they update the berry watering? Before, in 4-plant plots it would usually water only half of the plants, sometimes all 4. Now it consistently waters the whole plot every time.
@Screen what animal crossing house? I don't think the Villa is in these games.
@rallydefault See every Pokemon in the Sinnoh dex, get the Pokeradar and shiny hunt to your hearts content. That's what I've done at least (also see Screen's post).
@Screen Wasn't the mini house maker exclusive to Platinum?
