@LinktotheFuture the best table currently available is portal 2, I’ve put many hours towards it on ps4 and psvita on both FX3 and ZP2
@JoeDiddley my top 5 for what’s available at the moment is:
1. Portal 2
2. Epic quest
3. Bobs burgers
4. Back to the future
5. American dad
These are mostly based on what I like in general (epic quest because my parents always used to tell the story of do quichot on wich epic quest is based) but portal 2 is the real winner.
I’m planning to rebuy all the tables but in a slow pace as I still want to buy some ps4, switch and retro games and I also collect lego superheroes minifigures which can be pricey. I think about €10 monthly + any brand new table.
If you also want to know my top 5 including tables that are still coming
1. Portal
2. World war hulk/infinity gauntlet
3. Clone wars
4. Venom
5. Bethesda pack
South park would be second but due to licensing issues they couldn’t bring it to FX3 :/
Also a table that should be avoided unless you want the other tables in the pack or want everything like me, is iron man, that table sucks in every way, the design is boring and bland, the table is extremely hard and very small. If I recall correctly the table is pretty much hated by the digital pinball community in general.
@darkswabber thanks. I think I had Iron Man on the Marvel Pinball 3DS release, not much love for that one.
I really hope the licensing issues are sorted so World War Hulk etc. come to Switch.
It seems strange that the Bethesda pack isn’t available, a missed opportunity perhaps with Doom and Skyrim recently released on Switch. I’m sure it’s not Zen’s fault. I downloaded them on my phone a few weeks ago but can’t really get along with the touch controls.
@JoeDiddley there aren’t any licensing issues besides plants vs zombies, street fighter, ninja gaiden, ms plosion man and south park.
Zen studios decided to focus on the original tables and some others in order to release the game earlier on the switch. All tables on ps4, steam and xbox one are coming to the switch early next year.
Since every table has it’s own mechanics every table needs a seperate port, zen studios are a small indie studio (that still can get their hands on big IP’s) so they need more time.
@darkswabber that’s great news, when did they say that?
Their FAQ on their official Pinball FX3 page pointed to licensing issues which is why I mentioned it.
“Zen Studios maintains numerous licensing relationships with the biggest names in entertainment. Videogames are a really tricky business, and at times challenges are presented that we are not able to solve. At this time, all licensed tables confirmed for Pinball FX3 for Switch have been announced. Zen has created popular tables based on other unlisted larger licenses in the past, but we can unfortunately not confirm their inclusion. We hope to bring these collections to Pinball FX3 on Nintendo Switch in the future.”
@JoeDiddley oh didn’t know that. Their reddit AMA and facebook comment section made it seem otherwise.
sorry for my misinformation.
Strange, especially considering there are still new marvel and star wars tables coming out. (They confirmed this in a AMA)
@darkswabber I really want you to be right, I’m just trying not to get my hopes up.
I read some of the Reddit and Facebook stuff too. They always seem to talk about more tables coming generally. But that could be just some of the tables, or new ones as they release.
Caution aside, if I was to bet on it though I’d say the tables that made the transition to Pinball FX3 will come to Switch too.
@darkswabber curious to know which you would consider the ones to avoid/weakest. I've got nearly all the Zen ones (not got core pack) will probably get them all anyway but still curious based on your experience...

@Daftbomb I’ve never liked V12 that much, it looks good but playing the table doesn’t feel rewarding. Part of the fun of playing pinball is feeling rewarded for your actions IMHO.
I would say mars but that one feels very rewarding and still is fun, but visually it is very boring.
But it all comes down to personall taste, if I wasn’t a huge fan of marvel I probably wouldn’t like much of the marvel tables (I wouldn’t even have played zen pinball and would have sticked to the pinball arcade if I didn’t like marvel)
3 things that are important to me are the table must be fun, the table must look interesting (especially if you’re investing a lot of time in specific tables) and the tables must feel rewarding. Tables that are extremely hard can still be fun.
The only table that doesn’t meet any of the 3 requirements is iron man.
It’s a shame that the switch version doesn’t support the demo tables, those allow you to score points for a minute and after that to contineu playing with your current ball without scoring points.
But if they add the demo’s to the switch version I’d recommend anyone with a big SD card to download all demo tables.
@darkswabber I want to like V12 more than I do, that far left side lane (not sure on terminology) is a real buzzkill, always feels tense playing that one. Agreed, Mars is fun not sure Im sold on the barren playing area but it feels a lot safer for long playtimes.
Been ages since I played this, had a load of them on Zen pinball 2. That street fighter one was classy, do you think we will ever get that one in fx3?

@Daftbomb I don’t think street fighter, ninja gaiden and ms plosion man will make the jump. I still hope PVZ will make the cut but I don’t think due to EA being EA but I still think south park will come to FX3.
I've only really started playing this game recently. I tend to play classic mode but can someone advise how to use the power-ups in the standard mode? Can you only pick 2 at a time?

@Lroy you get a choice of two passive from the six available in the lower set and one active from the top set. The rewind powerup is possibly the most useful active one, especially on tables like Son of Zeus which has some very annoying outlanes. The score multiplier is good if you're about to complete a mission.
Definitely worth figuring out the best set up for each table rather than stick to the same set up for all, as an example the triple skill shot on paranormal is fairly easy to pull off and with the skillshot powerup you can get a nice big start.
The active powerups are unlocked by reaching a certain score in the three challenge modes, but you can upgrade them in classic mode once theyre unlocked just by using them.
Wish I'd known about this game earlier! (I hear it originally came with 2 or 3 free tables - as opposed to just the one now - ah well!) ..I've really enjoyed what I've played of it so far though - seems like my kind of pinball game - could be tempted to chuck a bit of cash at it and grab myself a few more tables in future Had a lot of fun with it so far!
(..and, my gosh, the HD rumble is glorious - probably the best use of it I've found in a game so far - love that you can adjust the strength of the rumble to suit your tastes too! Not only does it look and play great - it feels great too! Very impressed!)
