Stage 1 is 100% completed. For those curious how to get 100%, not every treasure is displayed as a star on the map, some treasure will not be shown at all. You have to run around the map and watch your treasure radar. If the radar is showing, that you are near a treasure, throw Pikmin on the ground and they will dig out the treasure for you. I learned this, thanks to a person on Youtube. Edit: An even easier and faster method, than running around, is using the drone. The drone also has a treasure radar. I definitely prefer the approach with the drone.
Yes! Stage two is done. The fight against two Oculus Supremus, was really hard. It might have been wise to use an item. The monster design is awesome. Mostly cute, but sometimes, even a little bit scary. Puddingplopsis is my favourite family name.
So I think today I will have my first night expedition . Really curious about that.
Singing with the Pikmin must be nice, but apparently, they do not like it, or maybe they simply do not like Olimars voice. Sunbathing with them would also be great, or laying in the shadow under a tree.
What a lovely game. So far I am enjoying it even more, than I thought I would. Hopefully this will be the big breakthrough for this series.
Gotta say the Piklopedia is quite interactive to say the least. It's fun throwing bomb rocks at at creatures and watching their death animation. Some of which gave me a bit of a chuckle.
That said...I took on Foolix and that thing was quite a thrill to fight. Ended up defeating it while frozen and it was no more.
I sell my famous Chesapeake Tupperware.
I ACCEPT NO DEBIT CARDS!
DO YOU HEAR ME!?!
I am loving the caves. My favourite so far is the aquarium cave, such a great atmosphere. The sound of going underwater is very satisying and I like riding on Oatchi and watching the light reflections on the ground. Of course the caves are also fun to play. I did not play Pikmin 2 and do not remember something on this level in Pikmin 3.
The first night expedition is over. It was surprisingly overwhelming, so many enemies. Upgrading the strengh of Oatchi would have been a good idea. When I have the last upgrade, I will try the next one. Even so, it was fun and it makes the game even more interesting.
Just ordered the game through Amazon. Says it won't deliver til the 28th, which I'm fine with. I want to finish diablo 3 first, so all good. Excited to see how this differs from Pikmin 1.
Finishing up with 100%'ing the 3rd area before even checking out the 4th (I'm guessing final, or at least final main area, lol) map.
Surprised I haven't seen the Man At Legs yet, wondering if that thing was changed at all here. I'm also wondering if the final caves will go all out on us like in Pikmin 2 and give us a bunch of boss rematches. Harder environments, or upgraded moves like with Empress Bulblax from that game. (I saw her in a different area via trailers so I'm guessing that's still happening with her...)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Stage 3 complete. As someone who loves sunny nature, I am having a great time with the stages. The beach stage especially, is just beautiful and fun. The Dandori level are getting harder to platinum. Oatchi has full strengh now, tomorrow I will start doing night expeditions again.
Yesterday I forgot to mention, that I had a fun boss fight. It was the disco boss. I did not expect such a crazy fight. Getting hit at least once with the gas for entertainment is worth it.
The night expeditions were so easy today. Upgrading Oatchi really makes a difference. Still a lot of fun. Oatschi was guarding the base, while I collected stuff to make the Pikmin multiply. The green bubble attack they can make, which stuns the enemies is overpowered, but fun to use. Well my crew is rescued now. Time to save Olimar.
One of my favourite treasures is the saturn pin, because of the info text. It feels so wholesome and shows how great positivity can be. Now I want to use that symbol too.
Spoilers for treasures featured in Pikmin 4 ahead!
While I may not have Pikmin 4 myself (at least not right now), I have been looking into all the Nintendo-specific treasures available in the game and dude: these are the out-of-left-field callbacks I LIVE for when it comes to stuff like this.
Like; a Gamecube disc containing Waverace Blue Storm? The SNES mouse? THE GODDAMN WAVEBIRD GAMECUBE CONTROLLER!? OH IT'S ALL BEAUTIFUL I TELL YOU.
Stage four 100% completed. The game starts to get more difficult after this stage. Well I managed to see the normal ending, but there seems to be a real ending, cool. Strange, this game seems to happen right after Pikmin 1, but when I play Olimar's Diary mode (which is a cool mode for those, who wanted a time restriction in this game), I play the new maps, but (Moss) is nowhere to be found. Olimar said when he was about to return home, he found the space dog in the Dolphin, so it seems like in this mode it is his first crash on the planet.
Also, I found two Zelda references. First the heart container, which is a snack in this game. The other is a musical item, that plays the song of storm. Pretty cool.
Another cool thing is that after beating the game, Olimar does also give info to the items and enemies.
@Jhena
Spoilers for moss’ location. moss is in the second area on a hill that you have to build a climbing wall to get up. It’s near the bouncy mushrooms
I fear no man
but that thing:
The carrot minigame from bowser's inside story
it scares me
@WaffleBoat
Thanks. I will read the spoiler, when I finish the game. Propably tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow. Edit: Found Moss today, thanks.
Edit: Every stage is 100% finished and I platinumed the Dandori challenges of the two people in the camp. Maybe I will do the secret cave, but I will at least read some of the entries of Olimar and Loui.
Olimar's challenge was pretty nice. I felt like I did not have enough time, but in the end everything was fine.
Edit 2: Maybe I was not too honest when I wrote I completed this game 100%, but I feel or hope it is true now. I hope I mentioned that every side quest was completed. The last cave is not only 100% finished, but also platinumed now, plus I read every info entry from Dalmo, Olimar and Loui.
Even did the Dandori battles from the start screen and unlocked every stage. And I read/ watched the whole tutorial. Maybe this counts as 103% or something like that. The game is just too good.
Reading all the info entries was worth it. It is very cute how much Olimar loves his family.
At the end of the Kingdom of Beasts cave I found what looks like a screw embedded in the ground, which I can lock onto as if it's something interactive but it doesn't seem to do anything. I've got 100% for the cave so clearly it's nothing important, but will its function become apparent later?
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
