Topic: Pikmin 4

But agreed, incredibly good demo.

I've been avoiding collecting Sparklium, or whatever it's called, on purpose so I can get the Blue Pikmin onion.

Fyi as of noon yesterday, street date was broken and some got their hands on the game and leaking videos of gameplay.

Friendly warning if you're trying to avoid leaks. Demo was pretty much datamined of everything that matters already.

....Wished I knew more about that...PvE mode, curious about it. Wondering if they'll do a multiplayer version of that mode, too...

So far they haven't posted anything related to it but there's a few clips of them playing around in piklopedia with enemies we haven't seen yet.

That one beady long legs variant we seen in the trailers is kinda hilarious in-game.

Anyone here remember those interviews we got with the devs of Splatoon 3 just a bit before the game's release last year? Well we're getting some of those again but this time for Pikmin 4! (with Miyamoto at that!)

The demo already convinced me to get Pikmin 4 this Friday too. And I'm darn well determined to get at cost. Even my blood & organs. (JK. But you get what i mean.)

Two questions.

1. Is there any word on more customization options for your character? The ones in the demo were limited to say the least.

2. Would you recommend this or 3 to a new player. I’m already getting the first 2 so I have to choose between 3 and 4.

I see, definitely getting 1 and 2 since they interest me more than the rest of the games. Maybe I’ll wait until I beat those to make a decision.

Seems like I broke the demo, a treasure fell into the water but refreezing the water prevents the treasure from being carried. Maybe I can get it in the full game with Blue Pikmin?

@Grumblevolcano You can get it with blue pikmin in the demo too. Have you not found the blue onion yet?

@ok1 No, I reached the sparklium limit in the yellow pikmin cave and it was near the end of the day when I completed it so that was the end of the demo for me.

I read the interview, and I questioned one thing. - They say you are on a planet with buildings and objects from a forgotten civilization. But why forgotten? I mean, when looking at the levels it seems quite obvious that this civilization has to be quite alive. Squeaky clean houses and gardens. Nothing looks abandoned!

Btw.. I'm not really serious here.

Yeah, they definitely seem to have their issues, but 1 and 2 interest me more than 3 and 4. Especially 1, since it has the strict time limit.

Thanks for the tips. Ended up getting 1 and 2 in the bundle, then got 4.

Maybe they mean the alien races have forgotten the civilization of Earth?

Alright I bought the game. I did not encounter any Pikmin on my way to or from the shop but I will keep my eyes open.

Time to play!

Edit: And time to take a break for today! Played four hours today. I am further in the game than I was, when I finished the demo. It is even more fun now for some reason. This should be great, relaxed fun, full of Pikmin magic.

Even started to like the main character (the feeling of him having a soul emerged) and realized, that it can be quite fun to name a character Jhena and feel, like I am really helping and contributing to the adventure.

Such a cute and lovely game. Playing games like this I feel like I can easily wait for the Switch successor, it looks and runs great. The music has this old school Nintendo GameCube era style, which I also love alot. Pure Nintendo magic so far and I smiled alot.

Am I the only one who folded the GameBoy Advance SP for like a minute or so? Weirdly satisfying.

....The "Disco Legs" boss is now my favorite, sorry Man At Legs. lol
