Topic: On Sale for around 1.99

I wanted to pick this up on Steam a while back, but never got round to it.

I recently bought a Switch, and I noticed this game is on sale for almost free. (I think it has like 90% off)

For the price I'm sure it's worth picking up for anyone.

Just letting you guys know, but also wanted to know if anyone has played it, and wanted to know what you think?

I have Fire Emblem 3 houses and mario+rabbids for xmas, so got plenty of strategy RPG's to get on with, but at such a low price it might well be worth me grabbing this as well.

Would love to hear about your experiences with the game.

If you could only say the most important thing about the game, it's name.

@SKTTR : Hard West.

The thread was categorised appropriately, but the title of the game was not mentioned within the topic itself, as you have rightfully pointed out.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

Yeah, tags are easy to miss.

Oh well, at least I learnt there are tags (and to check the tags next time).
I'm quite blind to jingaling, ads, and little columns that I never use myself.

Unfortunately can't say anything about the game.

Hard West is one of my favourite games that I've played in a long time. I picked it up for 20% of the original price, so for 2 euro's it's a definite recommendation. Can't go wrong with this.
I'm not a big fan of these strategic kind of games, but Hard West was an exception. Solid 8/10, maybe even 9/10, thus a must buy (especially for 2 euro's) from me.

Watch a trailer, if you think it's slightly in line with what you enjoy in a game, then pick it up.

Enjoy!

Sorry guys. I am new to the forums, and not 100% on how it all works. I thought this was actually posted on a review of the game.

It's for that western version of xcom, "hard west" I think. I was going to get it on PC when it came out. It's on sale on PC for for the same price as well, but I'n trying to build up my Switch library, and games I wanted for PC, but are decent in handheld mode as well I'm going to get for Switch.

Seriously thinking about re-buying Hollow Knight and Star-Dew Valley though. I have a feeling these games will kill it in handheld.

PS: sale seems pretty decent. I got the 2nd South Park RPG last night with the DLC stuff, too. I played the first one back when it came out, and really enjoyed that.

Other games I picked up, that I would recommend.

Ashen (a lot like dark souls in terms of combat, probably better played docked though)

World of Final Fantasy Maxima (A FF Monster catching game, if you like these things, it's a nice title)

Iconoclasts (amazing platformer/puzzle/RPG hybrid)

Steamworld Dig 2 (one of the best games in handheld mode that I have played so far, it's gorgeous as well. I'd recommend all the steamworld games quite highly)

Gris (More of an arty game, but the platforming is solid. Played in the dark with headphones, it's one of the best experiences this year)

Rayman Legends (I got this for free on PC from Epic Games, but it's one of those games that transfers over to handheld extremely well. Also the Football multiplayer game makes for some great xmas couch co-op sessions. has around 70% off currently as well)

Games I want, but need to wait for my money in paypal to clear.

Steamworld heist (I have this on PC, but it's great enough to buy again)

Golf Story (I love Golf Games and RPG's, this is perfect)

Dead Cells (One of the better games from this sort of Niche. I was really into Binding of Issac, I think this is teh best game to come after that in the rougelite genre)

Hollow Knight (one of the best combat focused metroidvania games ever made. I already own on PC though, pre ordered it)

Axiom Verge (a love letter to the metroid games. I own this on PC, but it looks really nice as a handheld game. also scratches that metroid itch while we wait for the new one)

Ori and the Blindforest (again, I already own this. it will be great for handheld play though)

Katana Zero (looks awesome)

My Friend Pedro (see above)

and TBH there's a loads more as well. great sale.

@Yellow_Devil As a general tip for future use of the forums: just put every important and/or relevant bit of information in the title of the topic. A lot of people miss or simply don't look at tags, so the first thing they'll do, as you've now seen, when you post a forum topic that doesn't mention a game's name, is wonder which game it is actually about, which creates unnecessary confusion.

(edit: so, the title of this topic simply should have been: Hard West - On Sale for around 1.99)

As for your recommendation list: I've got a couple of games on there, such as the SteamWorld games and Golf Story, and I definitely agree with them being great games.

Do you have the newest steam world? (the RPG one) going off the other games, it's probably really good.

Do you think the first Steamworld dig is worth getting, too? I got the second one, and I like it a lot. Not sure if there is any need for me to have the first one, apart from I think I'm trying to find the character from the first game (and I have no idea what happened in the first one, as haven't played it)
