Oh my Lord, I've just had a nightmare couple of hours..!!
There I was, blissfully looking at Switch related YouTube vids - to heighten my excitement for Friday - when I get a text message from my bank (Halifax) letting me know that GAME just tried taking £279.99 from my account and asking if it was me "yes or No"? I obviously replied "YES"......
Two minutes later I receive an E-mail from GAME to let me know that they have cancelled my Nintendo Switch order because of my bank and I needed to call them (GAME) if I want to get it resolved.
I immediately called GAME in a cold sweat and I was in a queue for 58 minutes (every minute that went by I felt my Switch slipping away)!!! At the same time I went online and placed myself in a queue to chat with a GAME rep online - I was number 33 in the line to chat with someone!! Aghhhhh!
Eventually, I was able to chat with someone online and I was halfway through explaining everything to them when I was also (finally) put through to someone on the phone! The funny thing is, the person I was talking to on the phone was sat right next to the person I was chatting with online.
It was finally resolved by them setting up a new order and linking it to my previous order and I was promised I'd get it delivered on Friday.

I think I need a lie down.....
GAME seem to have a habit of doing this.. they cancelled my order for the Nintendo Classic a while back and gave the same reason and told me to speak to my bank, spoke to my bank and they told me there was no reason they would have done this.. called back several times to GAME and was given a different story everytime, one person told me they cancel orders like this when they don't have enough stock to fulfil the back-orders and these people would be put on a list who would be contacted once stock is due back in... anyway I never heard back from them so this was obviously lies from GAME.. lucky I got it somewhere else on launch anyway

Nightmare! In my case (and in fairness to GAME), whilst acknowledging that it was more than likely themselves that straight away cancelled the order after my bank flagged the transaction, they did resolve the situation straight away - once I eventually got through with someone.
Apparently, this was happening to lots of people today (which explains why I was in a queue for so long on the phone and online).
My Charging Grip and Carry Case have been dispatched by Nintendo, and the Switch itself is still 'awaiting stock pick'. I've been in this situation many times before - anxiously staring at accessories whilst waiting for the actual console to turn up. No change on my Amazon BOTW pre-order yet.
@burger_king So I did chat to them and they said there's not an issue with my payment at all? So confusing. But yeah, hopefully it'll come as it is ready to dispatch now.
@judgedean - yeah! I spoke to Amazon who said that it will arrive the 3rd but they couldn't guarantee I'd get it before 5pm. But then he told me that "it's a brilliant game, and I will definitely get to play the awesome game on Friday 3rd March"....don't think he got the memo that 1-2-Switch isn't a pack in title. Can't believe that about Game though!!
Just had the dispatch notice for my Switch - hopefully arriving tomorrow! Unfortunately though I ordered my games from a different retailer to save money. And they won't arrive until Friday. Bugger.
@Enoch72 I managed to turn a bad thing into good with the GAME cancelled order email. I checked with my local Argos and yes, they have them in stock at the store and you can pre-order for pickup Friday (they won't sell early). Means at least I know I can go to the store Friday without any hassle and just pick it up.
@ProjectX1991 Amazon always put the shipping status as by (blank)pm. Mine always says before 8pm. But my UPS guy shows up around six like clock work. I wouldn't worry. What time does UPS normally hit your house? That is when you should expect your Switch. That's why I didn't take off. I'm only going to miss my package by like 20 minutes. And the UPS guy is good at hiding my boxes.

My Switch pre-order from Best Buy was cancelled!! It started back in January when I realized it said my card failed to authorize. When I called customer service, they assured me it would be fine when the order actually went through.
Then on Sunday I woke up to an email saying my order was cancelled, so I immediately called. They said it was a system glitch, and that it happened to a lot of people. I was supposedly added to a list of people who were affected by the glitch, and it was supposed to be fixed within 48 hours.
After the 48 hours was up today, I called again. They said it was because my bank didn't authorize it. But if I call my bank to tell them it's ok, then they can redo the order for me. So I called the bank, and they said it was because the system was down for maintenance at the time but it should work now. (Interesting that Best Buy chose to do this in the middle of a Sunday night, when many banks will be doing system maintenance.)
Then I called Best Buy again, and they said there is nothing they can do (which contradicts what the other person told me). I asked them about the list I was put on, but they didn't really tell me anything about it. All they did was put me on a list to notify me when the Switch is available.
It's interesting because you are supposed to get an email saying you have 24 hours to fix the problem, but all I got was a cancellation email. There are a lot of people complaining about this on Best Buy's forums, and everyone seems to be getting different answers from customer service. But something I've found interesting is that some of these people have items from the same order going through, just not the Switch console. Here's the link: http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Gaming-Support/Switch-Pre-Order-...
I'm going to try calling again, I still have a little hope I'll be able to get my Switch...
I'm not picking one up day one, but would like to get one after. I'm curious about how long to will take to restock them, especially considering the debacle that is the NES mini and how hard it was to get a Wii back when.
Is anyone else's entire order page on Amazon not displaying? With all these switch issues I've been paranoid and have been checking every day but it just says I have no orders, with a message saying there's an error displaying your orders right now
BoTw amiibo and joy con grips are on the way!!! Whoop whoop! So I'll get those on Thursday! Sweet! Switch will be Friday then! Oh well, as long as it's early and I'm not sitting around all day waiting for it
