See, its a full programming language, with numerous inputs based not only on parts of the screen or system as a whole, but each Joy-Con input, Toy-Con input and more. Then you have a range of outputs, and you can combine them probably to make things, at a base level, like in Minecraft regarding "Programming", except this also teaches the fundamentals of functions, methods, inputs, outputs, statements etc.
Further, it does this in a way that doesn't require opening a blank document in an IDE and writing out code in the language specific syntax for whatever kind of application you are developing.
Plus, if you were to combine Toy-Con, or make your own Switch based applications, like the popular candy dispenser shown, you can do a lot with very little.

That interview confirms something which should please some folk and possibly* allay their fears: Retro Studios had nothing to do with Labo. It was all developed in-house.
(*It still doesn't explain what Retro are up to though...)
I can't tell if I just don't get it, or if the Garage is limited in strange ways. For example, I want to build a modified piano, but my input possibilities on the toycon piano only give me the white keys, not the black keys. I thought maybe I could program the IR camera itself, but I'm only able to create an input detecting whether the IR camera picks up anything at all and how much, but not isolate specific locations.
Watched Gamexplain's video of Labo creations today. Someone made Game & Watch Ball in Labo Garage. I was going to recreate Manhole myself. I drew a mock up image in my notebook two weeks ago. Let's see if all of my ideas are taken befote I get my hands on Labo.
It's its, not it's.

Can someone explain how you can neatly store all the Variety Kit "Toy-Con"?
Store them inside Doraemon's Magical Pocket.
Just kidding.
Better give plenty of space if you store your big size LABO creations.
You can put inside your shelf or empty space of bookcase.
Clean up them every week with duster.
Arrange them nicely like Art Installation.
By doing so, you will always get nice art display at your home.
