I am literally expecting a single game to be announced we weren't already aware of (probably 2019, but I'm good with a 2018 release too), some sort of details on Yoshi, and release months for Daemon Ex Machina and Fire Emblem Three Houses. If they meet those four points, I promise I'll be happy.
Though, anything Bayonetta 3 or Metroid Prime 4 related would also be an instant win regardless of what else is revealed. Same with ports of Metroid Prime Trilogy or (will never happen but) Mass Effect Trilogy for on the go play. Or revealing Isaac or one of my other top picks for Smash. Or anything Platinum related. Or new AC (either Animal Crossing or Assassain's Creed would do.) Or Chibi-Robo, Golden Sun, Geist or F-Zero revivals.
Basically, the chances of this direct disappointing me are slim I hope.
@Yosheel Don't trademarks take time to process though? I thought they wouldn't be publicly revealed for several weeks after they're applied for at the point where they're approved.
@subpopz i see it as more of a nice way to send off the system. Besides, the last top down zelda was 27 years ago on the SNES, they have been handheld ever since
@Yosheel Not if they're trying to keep it secret. Usually, you'd expect them to file it at a point where the filing won't happen until after it's revealed. The only reason I'm giving this the slightest grain of salt is that unlike all the other renewals, they didn't wait a full 10 years for this one. The last time Golden Sun was renewed early, Dark Dawn came out.
@boop22 Probably not the only one, but a good chunk of RPG fans fell in love with the original two games. Dark Dawn... not so much. I just want the original games to be remade for Switch at this point, add in a bunch of QoL changes and merge them like they were supposed to be from the start.
@link3710 i would actually be more up for that than a new game, i played the first 2 and enjoyed them for what they were, but the werent THAT great, ya know? but a remake would be right up my alley
@boop22@Yosheel Aonuma already said that just because Switch exists doesn't mean the handheld team is doing nothing and that he tasked them to focus on something like "doing 2d in a 3d way" or something like that. That was back when Switch/BotW launched. I imagine there's a 2D or quasi 2D zelda in the works. Question is is it Link Between Worlds type Zelda or Triforce Heroes type Zelda?
