Do you guys think we will get a Zelda Collection next year? What do you think Nintendo will release during the November/December period?
BOTW 2 and the HD Wii U remasters seem more likely. If there is a Zelda collection I'd personally rather see the 2D ones collected, I've played the 3D ones enough with the remake releases over the last few years.
@Don Yeah I do think we will get some kind of collection, but what games they’d include I’m not sure. They could have Ocarina of Time and Majorca’s Mask ROM dumps much like they did with Mario 64, but what the third game would be I’m not sure. I don’t know if they’d do a 2D collection as the NES & SMES games are already on Nintendo Online and the Game Boy game has been remade on Switch already. I’m also not sure Nintendo would want to include Zelda games not produced internally so that would mean no Capcom games.

While I would be overjoyed with a Zelda collection, it would also feel kind of lame getting the N64 versions of OoT and MM, when they were so nicely remastered on the 3DS. I understand that those assets don't scale to an HD screen, but I would still be disappointed regardless.
Seeing as Super Mario 64 also has a remastered version on the DS (though IMO definitely less impressive than the OoT and MM remasters), yet Nintendo is still just giving us the N64 version with a resolution bump, I guess the N64 Zelda games would get the same treatment.. which is a bit of a shame.
@Monkeido SM64 DS is different enough from SM64 that it would make more sense to have SM64 DS as a bonus mode like OoT 3D has Master Quest. You don't even play as Mario for a significant part of SM64 DS.
@Monkeido Super Mario 64 DS is definitely not a remaster of Mario 64. I think everyone keeps forgetting you start playing as Yoshi in that game. It's a completely different game as a result, that uses the same levels. Even some of the missions are altered. It's a lot more different from Mario 64 than people make it out to be.

LOL saying 64DS is a completely different game from 64 is the literal definition of a huge stretch. Okay, so you play as Yoshi in the beginning... so? You play as Yoshi in every single level that was present in 64. You also get to play as, take a huge guess.... Mario later down the line.
64DS is basically a Deluxe Pro (Plus?) version of 64. IMO, it's the best way to experience 64 if you haven't played the latter before.
@FragRed
I hope they release Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask in one collection, Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD in another collection and Skyward Sword HD as a new remaster. It would be awesome if they upgrade Zelda 1 and 2 into a 16 bit collection as well.
@Grumblevolcano@Octane Even though I own Super Mario 64 on the DS, I never actually played it. ^^'
Sorry for my ignorance, I thought it was just a better looking Super Mario 64 and with the addition of other playable characters (I also just watched a comparison video between the N64 and DS version before making that post).
@veeflames I'd argue that Pokémon Let's Go isn't the same game as Red and Blue either. 64DS plays differently from 64, different characters with different abilities; it changes some of the levels and missions, forces you to play certain missions as certain characters, etc. The fact that Mario is an unlock says enough. It's definitely not an enhanced version of 64 IMO.
@DannyBoi
Why are you keep complaining ?
There are a lot of Switch games has been released recently.
They can be considered as holiday games, doesn't matter they are 1st party or 3rd party or indie games.
@DannyBoi we never know, Nintendo might suprise us and release Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 as the holiday title of Switch for this year or have a new game of a franchise that have received a game for a long time, imagine if a new Golden Sun, F-Zero or Nintendogs is the Holiday title of Switch for this year.
@korosanbo nah, Nintendo have it trademarked, link below. It’s common for Publishers to own the IP that they published even if it was developed by someone else.
@Giancarlothomaz They're not going to drop BotW2 when they're celebrating Mario's 35th. If anything, they'll wait till next year for Zelda's anniversary. Assuming the game is even done.

If there's one thing Nintendo has proven in 2020 it's that they're capable of keeping almost finished games close to their chest. Numerous releases of theirs in 2020 were announced mere months or even weeks before release. I think it's very likely Nintendo has something else in store for us this coming Holiday season that we don't yet know about. It probably won't be revealed through a Direct though.
I think 3D All Stars was announced so close to launch because of the limited availability for physical stock. I'm guessing anyway that when this initial stock run is gone there will be no restocks and the only way to buy it will be the eshop release.
This was the Mario direct. I remember the 2019 September Direct talked about future releases up to summer 2020 so perhaps we could see another one at the end of September or possibly the beginning of Nov.?
