Topic: Mushihimesama - tips, strats, etc.

Well, the other thread just up and disappeared (I actually came back to copy what I wrote, darn). So if anyone wants to discuss, need help, or whatever, post away.

I had some basic info up, I didn't copy it, so I almost completely forgot it all! Asking the right questions can re-trigger a similar response, however. That's how my mind seems to work. So anyway...

I do remember recommending W-Power and M-Power for beginners. That, and from the article thread playing Novice mode -> Original difficulty turns the game into a normal shooter if you're havinging doubts about tackling a bullet hell shooter. Adding onto that, Original difficulty across all modes doesn't focus on scoring as much as Maniac and Ultra. Just go in, guns(?) blazing, to the end (though there still are a few point milking opportunities).

I can't stress enough how solid this port is. Very low input lag, only 1 frame off from the actual arcade version (also the 360) under the best conditions, upwards to 2 frames for most people. Tons of modes, including version 1.5 which was DLC on Steam (I've heard), practice mode, set up the game windows however you want, and even setting up autofire and rapidfire rates for scoring purposes (though they say you need at least 8 more buttons for optimal scoring, yikes). It's a game that can grow with you as you get better.
