Just gonna a mention a bit of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite... it's interesting they chose Val Habar as a location to represent Monster Hunter, on a Sony platform. It's mixed with Wakanda, home of Marvel character Black Panther... wonder if they'll team him up with Nargacuga in any capacity?
True that...I did not realize that. I just feel there is always something new in TLOZ ... People seem to love Monster Hunter! Maybe I'll give it a shot. Thanks everyone @Tsurii
@Grudgebearer No idea. Switch has a pretty even split across Japan and the west unlike PS4, so western versions seem likely. Also, if they're ports of things like RE7 and Marvel vs Capcom, those games are already translated.
@Haru17 So it's quite possible that MH-XX, for whatever reason, isn't a part of that. I thought at first, that it'd make logical sense to expect the localization of that one, until that outright "no" in the interview came around. Even if Capcom was quick to "clarify" the situation, that smells of PR talk and hot air to me, so I'll instead look forward to Nine Parchments, a multiplayer co-op game that IS coming, THIS year and looks great.
I mean I've already played XX for 150 hours, but I have my eye on both it and Nine Parchments. An isometric affair isn't going to move the ball for me in terms of why I enjoy Monster Hunter though.
I was simply explaining how most of Capcom's offering is localized by default, but XX seems an inevitability despite Capcom's hesitancy to offer a game that uprez-y and graphically unambitious on the shiny new console people just spent $300 on in the west.
@Haru17 To me it's the difference of "Confirmed to be coming" and "An uncertain mess".
I have Generations on my 3DS and I've played some of it, but I've gotten sick and tired of the small screen and buttons. Playing MH3U on Wii-U was 20x better for me.
The demo comes out on the Japanese eShop August 10th (JPN time) and will likely feature Great Maccao, Barioth, and Valfalk. No online play. People really can't translate Capcom's interviews well.
Right. Once the demo (or game) is installed, you can play it with any account on the system. I have 6,000Â¥ on my JP eShop waiting for Aug 25th, but the physical copy is on deck from Amazon Japan.
Still debating on whether that MHXX Switch bundle is worth it. Would cost $500 shipped from a 3rd party Amazon seller. Includes game though. So more like $440. Which is $125 premium. But boy oh boy... to have an official MHXX Switch and dock...
I mean, it's just a few flourishes. Do you like Monster Hunter's tribal 2D style that much? Granted, this coming from the guy who bought a Majora's Mask New 3DS XL when he had a perfectly functioning Zelda XL that looked a bit worse. I mean, it paid off because I got to play two Monster Hunter games (more of the same game, really) looking a little better, but it was still $200.
I don't like the design that much, I just love Monster Hunter that much. Bought both limited edition MH New 3DS XL's. Half a thousand dollars though... idk. And I already own 2 Switches.
Probably pass, but the thought keeps lingering.
