Well, in general, I find it's best not to rely on early patches to fix performance issues, since they usually don't make a dramatic difference, if they address performance at all.
i read in one review each monstie as a different kinship attack animation(included deviant of the same monstie), very rare to see the same, very impressed they took time to pull that
I picked up my copy before heading to work and now I just have to slog through the next few hours of data entry. Can't wait to get stuck in over the weekend .
One upside to this coming out with Rise being my first time playing a MH game, is that so many of the monsters will be completely new to me
@alpacatears yeah, I had the same feeling during the demo. For many the skills of the monsters and the best weapon against each part will be obvious but for me it is all a learning on the fly experience
Of course I’m playing on Switch continuing from my demo save. Gotta have this game hybrid with the amiibo and crossover content.
But I still bought on Steam because…. Well. I’m a mega fan and that’s what mega fans do.
Anyways. The camera acceleration issue can be fixed in Steam, in case anyone else has it there. Using Steam’s controller config, go to the right analog, then select “Additional Settings” and under “Stick Response Curve” change it from Linear to Aggressive. This creates faster acceleration at the beginning and tapers off, which almost perfectly negates the camera’s natural slower acceleration at the beginning which picks up speed.

I don't get why Nintendo thinks it's the best idea to make all these Amiibo exclusive to Gamestop. It just leads to the employees scalping them for themselves. I really want the Razewing Ratha amiibo because it genuinely looks cool, but you can't find it anywhere except ebay, where in which Scalpers are selling it for double the actual price of the object.
The thing that gets me, is that this isn't even a limited edition item, yet Nintendo can't bother to produce enough to meet demands. It's like they only produce limited quantities, and then that's pretty much it.
I don't really care about the items you can get from the figure, moreso than I care about the figure itself. Maybe the gamestops near me will end up stocking up on them, and it's just not being sold on the website.. but I doubt it. It's like you can't even buy anything anymore without scalpers ruining it for you.

Was super lucky today, was able to pick up both the Ena and Tsukino amiibo in-store and it was the last Tsukino they had in stock. Now I just need to wait for my collectors edition to arrive, which should be on Tuesday. Really excited to play this game!
In the meantime I picked up Pikmin 3 Deluxe since it was on sale, so I'll be playing that this weekend. I also got Ys IX this week but figured I shouldn't get too invested in that game with MH Stories 2 arriving soon.
I never will understand how games that I feel are 7/10 at best get rave reviews, 9’s and 10’s across the board, just because of production values. Yet games that I feel are absolute masterpieces, games that truly do deserve a 9 or 10, average 7’s and 8’s.
So few games grab me and don’t let go. Monster Hunter Stories 2 is one of those games.

I managed to get a Raze Wing Ratha amiibo. The store nearby had two left for people to purchase, and I lucked out. I won't get to have it until the 13th though, along with the game.

So, I'm starting a new file now that I have the full game, but I'm already restarting it after having created a character because the skin color settings in this game are wack. Create a white character in the character creator and they look like something out of The Simpsons once the game actually starts. It's weird.
