Looking good. I was hoping to play Stories some day, but I will take this as well.

I'm hyped out of my mind for this and MHR.

They talked in English !
Unlike on MHS 1 they talked in gibberish language.

So I really want to play this, is it a direct sequel to the original? Or am I good to go in blind?

@Qu0te I wouldn't mind if this one is the same, but it's looks a bit more action-y.

@link3710 I assume so. I like the MH world, but I can't get into the gameplay, but this looks like something I will enjoy.

This game has the potentially to be the best Monster taming game out there tbh. I hope it turns out great and sells well.

@Octane in the hunting games, Rathalos and Rathian are the male and female of the same species.

In this one it kinda seems like Rathalos is just a single species, with their very own Pokémon egg that implies only Rathalos comes out of it. There’s no mention of Rathian at all.

Nah I don’t think so. In the original the egg that Ratha hatched out of is also super special with its own unique flame design. The other normal Rathalos had normal egg appearances that matched the Rathians except in color patterns.

I think the special design is just to show it’s a special Rathalos

Oh ok so it’s something they did in the first stories too.

Still. Kinda weird to have the Rathalos exodus without a single Rathian in sight. Guess it’s a boys only trip.

Yeah. Rathalos generally also handle most of aggression roles and flying while the Rathians are known to stay on the ground more and guard the nests. So it might be like in World where the monsters are acting weird because they sense a presence or are being lured.

Definitely not by an Elder dragon of course

Octane

@Eel Alright. But can you catch any monster and train them like a Pokemon?

Octane

-Green-

You don’t really catch monsters. You basically find nests in dens and steal eggs from them and the creatures that hatch from the eggs are how you get partners.

In the original Stories you couldn’t get every monster as some of the monsters just weren’t available as allies. They could have changed that in this game however. It definitely seems like they’re putting even more work behind this one.
