I don't know many of the older Monsters before World as i have only really played that one, but i totally agree with you on more variety as it always makes the game more fun. Haven't played Rise either since i am waiting for Pc, but that Spider thing or the new Crab just seem a lot more interesting than brute Wyvern. They are still pretty new to me and as such i haven't gotten tired of them (yet?).
But i guess they are also just really haard to implement

Yeah Shogun Cenataur is an old one, but at least we haven't seen him too often, he did return in the Generations games, but it wasn't constantly returning like Fatalis. xD
Now that I think about it, I wonder what big changes Shogun will get. Instead of him getting an Apex it would be interesting if he could use different skulls normally this time. Maybe his claws can cause different elemental/status damage depending on the skull he's wearing. owo
Yeah, by the time I unlocked the quest for Nargacuga and Glavenus I just lost interest in the game completely...after going through World multiple times, and then again on PS4 when I got IB. It was basically a struggle for me to stay into that game. lol

Rise is gorgeous on Switch. Just wanted to say that. Absolute stunner of a handheld game... even on the TV it's dang impressive. And the PC version? Muah!
Anyways, I'm cross posting this because we need cross save in the Steam version! I'm not starting over after 450 hrs, are you nuts? Besides which, I wouldn't lock myself into a TV trapped MH anyways. Already went though that whole experience with World. And it's why it's still my least played MH to date.
But IF WE HAD CROSS SAVE, then we could play on Steam when we have time at home, and play on Switch everywhere else. Just like Witcher 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, Hades, Civilization VI, and countless other games have done.

@Solaine Rise's sheer variety in monsters and monster classes is only beaten by Generations, iirc. It's ridiculous how darn many UNIQUE monsters it has and even the "clones" mostly feel like they're doing enough different stuff to make them stand out (talking about the bears and greats, mostly)
I'm really happy they add the crabs again because they're so different from the majority of the different types of wyverns, like Rakna Kadaki (think I butchered her name). Makes me hope they'll add Nerscylla and Hermitaur as well.
I really really hope they bring nerscylla and seltas into the game they're some of my fave monsters and it would add tons of variety as we haven't had a bug / insect type monster in so many games ( Inc gen)

What a joke. They are literally the developers of the game. They even developed it using they own game engine. What could possibly be the roadblock here? Money.
Well, there goes the only reason for me to double dip for the PC version.
Yeah, I really am in two minds. So far what I’ve seen from the PC port hasn’t been nearly as impressive as the console to PC port of World. (Although I will need to try the demo). But, between that and the tedious grind to get to Valstrax (which I assume you will need to do, to do Sunbreak’s content?), like can I really be bothered to do that all over again?
Especially as I think the Switch version is fine, I don’t like how low the resolution is, but the frame rate being as rocksteady as it is, means I am not really hungering for that 60 fps or above I’d get on PC. And while the PC version is in higher resolution, it doesn’t really appear to have expanded on what is there, so it just ends up highlighting how flat and lifeless everything looks outside of the monsters/players. Hardly seems worth the upgrade and doubling my grind.
I was going to try to see if I could get it on pc, but now I have no interest, given that they're not doing anything to let me play with my friends, or my own characters.

Woah, there's a new Ibushi + Narwa event?! Freakin' finally! This is-...

Oh, it's that stupid channel with the extremely clickbaity video titles. Never mind. >_>
Alright, cool...back to doing something else that's not Rise I guess. -.-
