So how does the post-game difficulty of this game compare to other 3D Marios?
There are a good amount of moons that are tucked away behind some challenging mini-rooms/hatless rooms and the like.
As for the final "ultimate" challenge though, it's unfortunately WAY easier than 3D World's or Galaxy 2's. When I got to the "THANK YOU" screen I was like, "....Wait, that's it?" If you did the ultimate challenges in any of those other games it'll only take you a few tries to get this one down. Pretty disappointing...
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
@-Green- While some Moons certainly make you work, and on occasion even rage, for them (especially the second Minigame Moons can be hair-pullingly frustrating), I wouldn‘t say the platforming aspect is hard. That aspect is definitely below 3D World‘s and Galaxy 2‘s postgame. Especially the final challenge on Darker Side, while long, is easy (aside from that Pokio, where most of my deaths came from, but that section is all about patience). Finally, coin-farming for hours just to buy those extra moons to make the counter say 999 is a waste of time and I recommend to just leave it at 880 Moons, the reward for 999 is hideous and completely unnecessary.

I accidently cheesed the final challenge... I found two skips by just trying some random things out of curiosity. Might try to beat it the proper way when the exams are over.
Well with just 3 costumes and the 999 to get I Can't help but wish there were more secrets tucked away it was too easy to find everything on the first playthrough, feel that some of the costumes should have been more than just for cosmetic appearance having luigis costume alter you controls slightly would have been a nice touch.

LEGO and Mario Odyssey looks similar but Different.
Let's say LEGO CITY Undercover. The World in LEGO CITY are Completely HUGE Open World, each parts are connected, not separated by Loading screen except if you go inside Police Station. While Mario Odyssey Kingdoms are Separated each others. Each Kingdoms are Very Huge Open World but not as Big as Breath of the Wild.
The things that you can do in both LEGO CITY and Mario Odyssey are similar : Running around, Wandering around, Destroying some small objects, Interact with some NPCs, Collecting something, Defeat the Villains, No Game Over screen, Customize the outfits, Do Random things, etc. Pretty much same but in Different way.
Just hit 522 moons and unlocked the last area. Wanna spend some time in the current kingdom first though.
So, did new moons open up in the previous worlds? Is there something I need to do to release new moons in previous kingdoms?

@JaxonH Just visit any ol kingdom and Cappy will tell you as soon as you land. That aside, there are also moons you don‘t have to unlock, they are unlocked simply by beating the main story, which you have.

Gotta agree that the Shiny Koopa races, at least up until Bubblaine, are pretty easy if you know your way around the levels. I've beaten him by 5+ secs just by knowing a shorter way to the goal. Maybe he gets harder. For me he was hardest in the Gardens, where he just does some insane jumps across a gap
@Operative2-0 Yeah, the Steam Gardens one was the most frustrating one for me. There, you pretty much have no other way than do what he does but better. But once I nailed that jump, it became my very favorite move to do in the entire game. I felt the Lost Kingdom one was hard, too, but that‘s only due to my bad timing on the jumping and diving around corners part near the end. I always took them to sharp and ran right into the wall was I trying to skip. Other than those two, I didn’t have a rage moment tbh. Also, no, I feel like races after Seaside were easy as heck, particularly Bowser‘s Castle and the Moon Kingdom.
@Operative2-0 I feel like all the Koopa races are fair except the Steam Gardens one. If you started with that race I can see why you dislike the races. The whole race hinges on getting momentum on the first platform, and that corner is the only time I felt the game's physics were against me.
I wouldn't say the Koopas get harder, but the platforming bumps up a little bit.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
