By freeing themselves of the Mario dressing they can start using real world locations, have a soundtrack of contemporary music (imagine how great it would be to have Limp Bizkits Rollin playing), it gets rid of the cheating power ups so it becomes solely skilled based, also as it’s more real now they can get rid of carts and use muscle cars instead. ;p
@Marioman2020 New console content for the Switch! I know that's bold idea. More tracks would be nice. I put a lot of time into mk8, but I ended up putting more hours into Crash Team Racing because of their monthly themed events where they added new tracks, karts, characters, skins that came with those events. The Switch console not getting it's own Mario Kart, or new content, seems insane at this point.
Mario Kart 8 needs a dedicated no-weapons online race mode. I'm tired of opening/joining a list no-weapons community tournaments only to find them empty. There's no way to tell if they ACTUALLY have players I can join. Its insanity that the tournament communities have now way to see if they have players. Rocket League shows how many players are active in every online mode.
@jump You are such a little rascal!<3 How dare you poke logic holes in my argument.😉
It seems like Nintendo is so committed to not making new Mario Kart tracks for the Switch, that they made Mario Kart Live and said, "here. YOU make the expletive tracks! And pay us $100 while you're at it." 🤪
Oh, I can think of 5 different things Mario Kart could do better (obviously not all of them will happen in one game, it might take 2 or 3 for them to implement all of this):
1. Instead of randomly unlocking kart parts when you obtain a certain coin total, have a shop where you can purchase them. IDK why it's taken so long for them to do something so common sense, and the only game they've actually done it is a mobile game of all things.
2. Bring over R tracks from Tour. This is such a good idea that doesn't deserve to be shackled to a mediocre gacha mobile game.
3. Bring back Double Dash gameplay, maybe as a specific mode. They could also potentially do a gimmick where the karts could split in two (maybe to avoid obstacles or something, IDK).
4. Make an actual hub world like in Diddy Kong Racing. The Switch has a lot of vast and explorable hub worlds, why not have Mario Kart join in on the fun?
5. Add a track editor (to the main games, not just Home Circuit). Making your own tracks would give the game endless replayability.
As long as the next mario kart game isn’t ‘mario kart 8 deluxe ultra combo’ It’ll be welcomed by me. I don’t think mario kart needs to improve too much as each new game in the series tends to be very enjoyable.
they say that life’s a carousel, spinning fast you’ve got to ride it well. The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It’s heaven and hell.
By freeing themselves of the Mario dressing they can start using real world locations, have a soundtrack of contemporary music (imagine how great it would be to have Limp Bizkits Rollin playing), it gets rid of the cheating power ups so it becomes solely skilled based, also as it’s more real now they can get rid of carts and use muscle cars instead. ;p
And to top it all off, rename the game Need for Speed Underground or Burnout. That'll do the trick.
5. Add a track editor (to the main games, not just Home Circuit). Making your own tracks would give the game endless replayability.
That would be amazing!
I would like the option to adjust sound effects and music levels in future games. I found the engine noises too loud in Mario Kart 8. They made an amazing soundtrack but the effects just drown it out. It feels more noticeable in MK8 than previous games.
I want the victory ceremony to return in the next game instead of a boring replay.
@jump Bruh- MK8 Deluxe is the switch's best-selling game, and why? It's all thanks to Mario and His cartoony Powerups. Not as cartoony as Nicktoon Racers, but not as realistic as Need for speed or GTA.
@Marioman2020
I have Modnation Racers PS3.
The idea of Track editor (Make your own track, add with objects to beautify) and Fully character customization should be on Next Mario Kart.
It will be great if we can put our MP3 into music editor just like SSX PS3, so imagine playing Mario Kart with Super Eurobeat songs from Initial D.
@Snatcher
I have better ideas.
Make 3 different upgradeable Shells just like on Chocobo Racing PS1.
So if you take 2 Green Shells it will be upgraded into 1 Red Shell and it will 100% hit the front opponent, like Fira spell (Fire 2) on Chocobo Racing.
And if you take 3 Green shells or 1 Red shell + 1 Green shell it will become 1 Blue Shells, just like Firaga spell on Chocobo Racing.
