Yep. I still have some my Lego GBC games. I still have the majority of my GB, GBC, & GBA games in a binder in baseball card slots to keep them organized lol~ 🤣 It's ironic when I got the original GBA back then because the majority of games I was playing back then we're either GB or GBC lol. Wasn't super impressed with the GBA games but loved the system it's self~ 🤣👍 GB & GBC we're defently my favorite go to games back then~ I still find games every once in a while that are GB or GBC that I've never played & pick up out of curiosity. The library for GB & GBC is truly endless plus I play the Japanese imports from back then~ 🥰 Daa Daa Daa (Ufo Baby) GBC is my favorite so far to play~ 🥰💕

@Dogorilla

I'll have to check out the switch Lego versions when they go on sale again later. As for the Lego 3ds games I bought them on launch date back then. Lego City Undercover 3ds was better than Lego Jurassic world 3ds. It's sad because I had high hopes for both games thinking both would be great but ended up getting more use out of Lego City Undercover 3ds back then~ 🤷‍♀️ Probably won't be DL'ing to much yet. Getting some Japanese Nintendo switch games later over the next few months~ 🤣

Happy Gaming! (^~^)

Skywalker saga. Good game, but way overrated. It suffers from the same problem as Mario odyssey. Quantity over quality.

Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido

I played it again the other day, which was probably my first time since late 2018, and I remembered why I had given up on it. It became too difficult too quickly for me, and I found it increasingly dissatisfying when I would only score D ranks and struggle with the other objectives.

It was more enjoyable for the first few hours though. I might give it another try soon, but I’m not going to push myself if I’m not enjoying it anymore.

@Silly_G I finished that game recently and I like it but I do agree with you about the ranks. It got me thinking that it might be better if games with ranking systems only gave you a rank when you replay levels. Because narrowly beating a level by the skin of your teeth should make you feel triumphant, not disappointed that you only got a D rank.

I've recently dropped two games which kinda hurt since I spent a lot of time on them so far.

The first one is Persona 5 Royal - I 100% the vanilla version back in 2019 and I got myself Royal this February. I've played it for almost 2 months until I realized how much I actually have to do to 100% it again and I just dropped it.

The second one is The Last Remnant... I love the SaGa games and the way you "level up" and The Last Remnant did exactly that. It's just too bad that after around 27 hours I still have to find a character to like and the story also isn't that interesting to me personally. Combat/Mechanics are fun - story not so much.

@Nephestinus i did the same thing with Royal. I had played a ton of it and didnt realize that i wasnt able to meet the conditions for the extra scenario. Luckily i had an earlier save file i could back to, but I'm still pretty cross with that game. Love its style, hate its excess.

While I recently started it up again, I put down Elden Ring for a month or so and picked up Kirby and Animal Crossing. Elden Ring just isnt my cup of tea really. As far as souls games go it sits somewhere in the middle for me.

Can I count Final Fantasy Stranger of Paradise if I couldn’t get through the demo and then subsequently cancelled my pre-order?

@Losermagnet I felt the same way with Royal as you do with the scenarios.
While I still remembered a lot from my vanilla save file there were some new ones that I didn't know of yet and missed those so I started losing interest after that.

More of a drift-awayer than a dropper as I don’t take many chances on new games

@Losermagnet wth I am so glad I opened this thread. I am currently at 10/24 and had no idea that I need Maruki at a certain rank for the 3rd semester. I've always avoided spoilers and walkthroughs cause I want to experience games that way. I hope I have enough time to reach it now that I know. I think I have him at rank 6 or 7 currently. Thank you for this info.

I sold Super Mario 3D All Stars, Little Dragon's Cafe, Overcooked 1, Overcooked 2 Switch yesterday as I have no interest with Mario 3D All Stars & Little Dragon's Cafe anymore, I got the better replacement Overcooked All You Can Eat on PS4 with two games in one disc + All DLC so I don't need the old version of Overcooked 1 & 2 anymore.

@Octane_st1m Yeah, I looked it up to make sure, you do need to max Maruki's Confidant. I put it off for a while but after looking at when the game ends on the calendar I panicked and got his rank from 4 to 10 in like two weeks, by what is the end of the original game.

So much of this thread pains me! The World Ends With You is in my top five all-time games (admittedly it was the iOS version), and I started Xenoblade Chronicles 3D last week and love it - even on a tiny 3DS screen. Story and characters are so much better than XC2 and even the voice acting is better. Combat isn’t as good, but overall I prefer the first game so far. And I put over 200hrs into XC2.

Anyway, I feel like I don’t drop a lot of games - only to realise that I haven’t picked something up again in … years? I fully intend to go back to finish the main campaigns in Splatoon 2, Super Mario All Stars and Monster Hunter Rise, I promise.

Marvel’s Avengers, though? Forget it.

i had to recently drop Skyward Sword, i mostly play handheld and the controls (especially combat) were KILLING ME and getting me killed. i didnt like the whole mechanic of needing to slash in different directions especially when my controller wouldn't respond. i also read that later on the game gets repetitive and filler-y sooooo......dropped!

@SoManyHaveDied I actually found it much more pleasant to play in handheld mode than with motion controls. It felt really chill, and it made the combat much easier imo.

I have dropped a lot of game unfortunately :

diablo3 dropped after level up all classes, i find the endgame so stupid and the loot system does not work like i wanted.

borderland 2: dropped for the stupid loot system could not find better weapons for ages!!!

bioschock infinite : dropped at half game i find it too boring compared to the predecessor

tropico 6: dropped because I could not digest the changes n the economy system compared with the last i played tropico 4 .

crysis2: dropped for boring I had a lot more fun with the first and third instalment

ziggurat 2: boring after a while I find much better immortal redneck

the long dark: I really loved it but i find very hard to cope with it,(but i still try here and there)

dragon quest XI: dropped half way i just start to notice I cannot tolerate grind for exp anymore probably will be my last GDR

Okami HD too easy and boring

subnautica: dropped after a glitch witch sank in the rock my costly to make vehicle (but I will try again I read they released a lot of patches after that)

I rarely drop games, usually have lengthy pauses but not complete drops.

The last one I can recall was Horace. The game just went on and on and on for way too long. The story was interesting and the characters endearing but the gameplay was just a trial of patience and frustration. I simply gave up as I honestly wasn’t enjoying it.
