Final Vendetta is a solid beatemup that came out right around the time Shredder’s Revenge released.
Some of you were intrigued, but decided to wait for a sale because the game was locked to single credit playthroughs.
Well, I just purchased the game on sale for about $10 and am happy to report a host of changes to make the game more approachable.
This includes a casual difficulty with infinite continues as well as tweaks to the easy difficulty to make it more doable. There are also new inputs for unused buttons, making it easier to execute specials and use all of the game’s move set.
You can also select which level to start from in the options menu. I accidentally played the last level first and found myself seeing the final boss and credits early!
Seems like the devs listened to reviews and went to work to generate more sales and bring the experience to a wider audience.
I’m finding the game worthy of adding to any beatemup fan’s switch collection, whether you love a challenge or just want to experience a new set of levels, characters, and moves. While a bit generic and “Final Fighty” it’s a great homage to that and Streets of Rage.
