I dont at all dude but when it costs more than the PS4/Xbox copies and your getting half the game how is that on?

I ordered from site which sells code for £27.10 hope it comes and I haven’t been con, but check othersites, and mostly hear good things about the site

If youve paid £28 for it id say thats a bit less of a blow. Where did you pick it up from for that?

@Jamesrooney27 I've seen about cjs cd keys before online. Seen some people say they're excellent and some people say it's a scam? Have you ordered from them before? If not would be good to know if they're legit!

I've played a little bit of it. So far so good. The visuals are improved, and there are some subtle new features (such as the ability to add player names for local multiplayer sessions which will save progress and other preferences). Video capture is also available straight off the bat (video capture was added to FIFA 18 in one of the most recent updates).

Gameplay has been tweaked, and I've hardly even played very much of 18. I have found passing to be a bit more difficult, but perhaps I was playing with a dud team (with poor formation).

Whether it is worth grabbing for those who already own 18 is quite subjective as that would depend on your mileage with these sorts of games. Nevertheless, it is a solid football experience and a more refined package when compared with its predecessor.

Of course, you should be able to find more thorough reviews elsewhere.

Only just bought a switch, can you play ultimate on fifa 19? And play against random people online on ultimate and normal? Is it the same but just missing the journey? Thanks

@Jamesrooney27 I used to order quite a lot from CD Keys and another German based one, I forget the name of. I never had any problems receiving my games after the first time but the first order on each site was a bit of pain. Key sites require you to send in proof of identity, such as a copy/photo of passport and possibly proof of address. It's got to be a very good photo too or they wont accept it.

Have you already been asked to send proof of ID? If not then don't be surprised if you receive an email asking you to do so before they'll send the code. You may not even receive an email, you may have to contact them yourself asking where your code is. That's when you'll be informed you need to send ID before they can send the code. I've never used CJS before so they may work differently but I doubt it, from what I understand all Keys sites are the same. You need to prove you are who you say you are to protect themselves from fraud or so they tell you.

Don't worry though, they'll follow through. You'll get your code. That CJS has a 7.5 rating on Trust pilot from 35,000 reviews so they're trustworthy.

They sent me an email with instructions, and a log in, so I make new account on eshop, and I must not change the password until the game is fully downloaded and they said game be able to pre download 12 or 24 hours before midnight 27th

Loved FIFA ‘18 (clocked over 300 hrs on it) and am so looking forward to getting ‘19. Pre-ordered from Amazon UK and fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow. I’d love the career mode to get more features on Switch to bring it more in line with what the bigger console versions have. Either way, i’m curious to see how the gameplay itself has been altered over 18. That’s always my worry with FIFA. One year the gameplay feels really good and then it’s 50/50 on whether the subsequent tinkering actually adds anything to the feel and control of playing the matches. Also really looking forward to playing some of you folks online with this addition of friends online functionality.

Does this have co-op seasons? That would be fantastic, but I can't find anything about it

Did anyone get the steel case for this game?

My copy just arrived! Just the standard edition for me but did get emailed a code for some free FUT stuff but I'm all about Career/Manager Mode. Can't wait to get stuck in.

Now to decide what club to pick and what difficulty level. Was playing on World Class on my last FIFA '18 career with LUTON TOWN but ended up getting the sack after failing to gain back to back automatic promotions. Lots of time invested in Youth Academy and training players went up in smoke. Thinking a step back to Professional difficulty might be best for this first try on FIFA '19.

Look forward to hearing from any other Career Mode fans on how your new managerial adventures develop on FIFA '19.

As always, tips and advice on settings/sliders, hidden gem players and formations/tactics are most appreciated.

Have a great day!

@Lroy Enjoy. I won't be upgrading any time soon, but I trust your judgement so will be interested to hear more of what you make of differences between 18 and 19. One of my slight frustrations in 18's Career mode was that you couldn't search and sort players by individual attributes (just comparing to my Football Manager days when you could set up search filters for as many attributes you wanted, with minimum values etc.).

You guys had me at blood and semen.

@Lroy - what do you think of it?

I'm really interested to hear opinions of the fine people of here, as reviews indicate the gameplay is similar. But I watched a Youtube vid of the CL final and the gameplay looked hugely different to me - it seems faster, and more nimble. It looks fantastic to me, and I'm sorely tempted!

@monkeyspasm @gcunit Actually away at the moment so only really got Friday night to play the game. However, I am really enjoying what I have played so far. Let’s be clear, the changes over ‘18 are subtle rather than substantial. If you are in any way cautious of spending £45 on the game because you worry it is the same as FIFA ‘18 on Switch than I would advise waiting for the inevitable price drop.

However, if you envisage playing the game for multiple hours and you genuinely enjoyed FIFA ‘18 - I would get it in a heartbeat. The graphics have been improved, the gameplay feels more refined, the polish has been notably improved in terms of how leagues like the Premiership have the Sky Sports style broadcast overlays etc. Plus you can now play online against people on your friends list.

As an almost exclusive Career Mode player myself, I really appreciate the broadcast packages and the up to date squad members et. al. Although, the lack of any significant additions to the Manager Mode on Switch is probably my biggest area where I feel EA need to be doing more. FUT also seems largely the same as ‘18 from my limited knowledge of that mode.

But bottom line is, I will play this game for the entire year and for multiple hrs. I love the Manager Mode. So £45 for me on Day 1 is fine. I paid £20 for FIFA ‘18 and it repaid that investment multiple times over.

So I guess - if you can see yourself playing it a lot. Buy it. If happy to stick with FIFA ‘18 for now. Wait for the price cut or wait for FIFA ‘20.

Can’t wait to get back to it when I can and hopefully play some of you folks online.

EDIT: @gcunit Totally agree regarding the need for more search player refinement in regards specific set attributes. You can set scout instructions along those lines but not search the player database using them like you can on FOOTBALL MANAGER. As much as I dearly love the Career Mode on Switch - it is virtually the same as ‘18 in that regard saving for the gameplay, presentation and personable upgrades I mentioned above - this area of FIFA really deserves some more TLC from EA. The fan base community around Manager Mode is huge and full of bright ideas on how this part of the game could be improved to make it the de-facto mode of the game.

ONE FINAL THING: I should make clear as a Switch-only FIFA player, ‘19 is fantastic with the above caveats. However, if I did own one of the other systems PC/XBOX/PS4, I would have bought it and played it on that system.

Well, I caved and I absolutely love it.

I think the gameplay is far more fluid and entertaining than 18. A very noticeable graphical overhaul too, sharper graphics and nicer animations.

Had 3 great games with Lroy, got well and truly dominated, lost two and then snatched a win against the run of play. I went full-on Mourinho at the end to preserve the win

I'm going to get a lot of entertainment from this this year

@monkeyspasm Awesome!

We had some great matches, just wish there was a way to get out of career mode or whatever game you are currently playing - with it saving where it is - and being able to join via the invite straight away.

Guess the best thing to do is message each other on here or perhaps even on the Adult Switch Gamers Discord server ahead of time. That way, neither player is sat waiting in the lobby, not knowing if the other player is coming or not.

Also, shout-out to Switch Name @Mondos - whomever you are on here. Had a very close 2-2 draw with you last night. Also whatever happened in the first game we tried in the past - your players seemed stuck and you had to quit out? - think this may have happened to @monkeyspasm first attempt we tried to play too?

Thankfully, the other games have been largely lag free completely.

Anyone else, who has the game and would like to play online. Give me a shout. I tend to use Leicester City as they aren’t overpowered but also aren’t useless. Solid 4-star outfit.

Yeah, agree on the matchmaking. I thought I was doing something wrong!

I felt bad using Man United against Leicester, which is why I changed to West Ham for the second game, but you beat me anyway, probably true to real-life form at the moment

I might try some teams from other leagues with similar ratings to Leicester for the next one!

I really want live on Switch. Would be good with them to compete against 2k to see who can give switch owners the best bb experience. Glad you guys are enjoying fifa 19. I decided against getting it.

@Lroy Hey, I have been lurking here since the switch launched and only actually signed up to apologize for our first game! My son had turned on a joy-con and I didn't realize until we started playing, doesn't seem like there is any way to remove a second player online once you start so that's something to watch out for!

Enjoyed our second game though, and think I will be trying to pick up Vardy for my FUT team!

Look forward to playing you again soon, along with anyone else who plays.

Ha @Lroy, so that's why you're playing as Leicester - you fancy some of that goal tally Vardy got in my Fiorentina team
