@Mondos Hey Buddy. Great to chat with you on here. No worries at all. I wondered what was happening in that first game. Thanks for letting me know. Certainly an unintentioned handicap worth looking out for, lol!
Happy to play you anytime you see me on FIFA. Perhaps, pop a message in here too or we can set a pre-arranged time? Otherwise, we run the risk of just waiting in the lobby having sent an invite and not knowing how long the other will take to join. Shame you can’t just exit out immediately of any Career or FUT single player games you might be playing when the invite comes through and somehow the game saves that in a suspended save state.
@gcunit Ha! Ha! Pure coincidence I tell ya ☺️ I’ve actually picked Leicester City for my first Career Mode play through in FIFA ‘19 as I wanted to see the new Sky Sports style broadcast package licenced in this game for the Premiership. Pretty handy squad actually, I’ve only bought Wilfred Zaha in the opening transfer window to play-off Vardy up front in rotation with James Maddison. Both have been excellent in setting up goal machine Vardy. Looking to perhaps recruit a new centre half to partner with old slab-head Maguire come January or next close season and I’ll be set.
I’ve also started a parallel Career Mode save as MK Dons as I love taking a team from League Two as far as possible up the Divisons.
@Lroy I will keep an eye out on here for when you are looking for a game! How many players do we have in here? Would it be worth looking at a league or tournament maybe?

Is that even possible? So far I have only seen an option to play a series of 5 games in a sort of Mini League consisting of only me and my opponent. E.g. I am in a best of 5 mini league with you and then in a separate best of 5 games mini league with @monkeyspasm - be much better if we can actually have proper friends leagues and tournaments for multiple players.

Personally, I think the gameplay is far more fluid. 18 felt a bit stop-start to me, nearly every pass got intercepted. 19 plays a lot faster and seems to flow more. It's definitely evolution rather than revolution though.
Agreed that the digital price is very high! It's £45.99 in most places for the physical edition. I went physical to save space on my SD card - it's around 14GB. The rest of my games are digital so FIFA stays in the slot
Will probably grab this when it is on a cheap discounted sale. Wonder if there will be a version next year and if they can actually improve over this year.
I'll be around today if anyone fancies a game(s). I'll be following Lroy's lead and won't be choosing a 5 star team, so I need to start looking around the leagues
@ICISAZEL Yeah, I heard they're doing it for a decent price, but it would probably cost me the same amount again to travel there to pick it up. Thanks though. I'm happy with 18 for a good while yet if the fun I've had with it this week is anything to go by.
You get so many comedy moments in FIFA, I spend ages just playing with replays.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
1. When you win the ball back sometimes (rarely actually) your player will get caught in pace-control mode and just huddle down until he loses the ball, or you tackle it off him with another player.
2. My keeper dived past a soft header he could've thrown his cap on, it was only funny because I was 4-1 up at the time.
Otherwise, I have to say it's a lot fairer than 18 in trying to win the ball back from the CPU on the higher difficulties, as the ball isn't stuck to their feet, and it doesn't feel like they just decide to pinball it around and score.
There's more of a midfield battle in this one, which is far better than it was in 18.
Got my shooting on manual and everything else assisted and it plays a decent game of football.
Just a shame they can't prioritise improving the career mode transfers over other, seemingly smaller, 'quality of life' stuff.
I actually have FIFA 18 both physically and Digitally.
game-play in 19 seems a bit strange at first, i remap the buttons to alternative, btu i am sure they have moved slide tackle in 19, and reworked tackling.
Seems to be a bit better on the tackling front, and id say they have change the pacing quite a lot.
People say its faster than 18 but id swear blind that its actually slower.
I think i may actually prefer the new one, but its still early days.
£55 is super steep if you have 18 already though as that's possibly my most played switch game.
but for £30 its not a bad offering, with they had included world cup mode though, but meh.
