Yesterday I noticed my nintendo switches fan to make like a really silent I wouldn't say grinding but almost grinding sound, its really fade and I didn't even notice it until yesterday after having the switch for a year now. The only thing is that I heard the sound yesterday and thought that I should search on google for the same problem but a lot of people have identical problems, however, everyone does different things to solve them. Lastly I did not see any frame drops or freezing and all of that. It's only the fan (If it matters I have the Lets go eevee edition)
If warranty first check on this otherwise get a narrow vacuum and see if there aren't dust bunnies in those vents and fan to suck out. Otherwise you will have to dissemble your unit and see if there isn't dirty or clogged and clean it out and replace it back. But for that you need to look online to find how to dissemble and check your system.
@ItzUknown If you hear it when you press your ear near the fan it is completely normal. It is just the fan spinning. If you hear it when you hold the Switch just like you play it might be a problem.
My fan in the Switch is making a noise but only when I press my ear to it.

@Zuljaras ohhh ok then thank you, well you can hear the fan if you have it in tabletop mode without any sound from the game you are playing (If you try and hear it you will if not then no) Thank you for your help and have a good year!
@ItzUknown No. Only if I press my ear on the Switch. It is like a sizzling. Definitely the fan. I do not know if the Switch has coils to produce coil whine.
