@HotGoomba
See, I told you. 😉
I believe my instinct was right.
I'm sad there was no ARMS 2, but the upcoming indie games are really have some quality and potential.
Me going into E3: Eh they might have one or two things that interest me for 2021, but barring a Metroid game, I'm not buying new first party games until right at the end of the year. Too much going on already for me gaming-wise.
@Joeynator3000 That's the same background Treehouse has been using for years isn't it? I'm pretty sure it debuted around the time Tropical Freeze came out.
Hey sixrings, Nate and Emily are frauds, right? Whahahahahaha!
Wait, Switch Pro and 3d Donkey Kong are announced?
Jokes aside, the direct was decent. New Metroid and Wario are nice, although they do not really feel like full price games to me. The Monkey ball collection and BOTW 2 looked very good. Still a bit bad that there is no Bayonetta 3 news or Animal Crossing update.

If they're as short as their old games, I kinda agree. If they're notably longer and keep the quality up, than obviously they earn their price tag and will be better than most 60 dollar games anyway (ignoring that everything is pointing Warioware to being 50)
@MajorTom I'll give you warioware shouldn't be a full price game, but I'll wait and see on Metroid. That looks fantastic, and it could easily be big enough to warrant a 60$ pricetag.
@MajorTom
I agree with WarioWare, yea, but why doesn't Metroid look full price?
@rallydefault
It reminds me a bit too much of a 3ds style game and most indie games with the blackish walls and animations. I liked the style of Other M more to be honest, while the story of that game was just bad. It looked a bit more high budget in the graphics department for its time.
There were lots of games announced, but except for Metroid Dread I wouldn’t call any of them particularly big (remakes, remasters, and mini game collections. Also there does seem to be a big ‘Christmas spot game’ missing- the usual Smash, Mario, or Zelda level game in the last week of November.
I wonder if we may see something like Donkey Kong announced with the New Switch?
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
That was great!!! Can't believe Metroid Dread actually exists.
Now I see why Nintendo tweeted about the GBA's anniversary the other day, because this Direct seems catered to people who grew up with that system (like me) - WarioWare, Advance Wars, Metroid Dread.
Super excited for all the games coming this fall! Also BotW2 looks incredible. My only real complaint is the lack of Bayonetta 3 news
@MrGawain Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl launches in November so probably that is the big holiday release. Either that or perhaps if the Nintendo/Microsoft collaboration is Game Pass for Switch then the big holiday releases are Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.
Honestly that was the best E3 presentation by far.
First the smash character was a great choice despite me never playing a Tekken game in my life. Then Metroid Dread looks great and I can't wait to try the Metroid series for the first time. Mario Party looks nice but looks very similar to Super Mario Party in terms of style. And finally Breath of the Wild 2 looks amazing and the improvements to the first looks so good.
Overall 9/10 since some things I didn't care about and I was hoping for something about Splatoon 3.
Currently Playing: Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and whatever else I feel like playing
