I remember reading comments from a lead 2K guy that the franchise is not dead, etc. They even tweeted a picture from Fort Frolic as a teaser like 3-4yrs ago but nothing since. I’d love a new one, but first, it would be amazing to get the Remastered Collection on Switch.
All three were on 360/PS3. Switch ports are certainly possible if TakeTwo Interactive wanted to invest the time and/or money. But like EA or Activision, TakeTwo Interactive has been slow and infrequent with their support of the Switch (no Borderlands, no Grand Theft Auto, no Max Payne, no XCOM). Perhaps one of the reliable port developers (Panic Button, Iron Galaxy, etc) has already expressed an interest in porting those games to Switch? Maybe.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

I feel like every major Xbox 360 era game (that isn't owned by Microsoft) will eventually end on Switch, and Bioshock is one of the ones I have to believe is happening. I mean, why not?
Lol, right. If only....it wasn’t taken down years ago. It doesn’t exist anymore. Not available anywhere. I read it was too much to fix (bugs). Although I played it a lot and never had a problem. Beats me.@StableInvadeel
I would be totally stoked if this happened. I have all the Bioshocks on my steam wishlist just waiting for them to go on sell. Since it's been forever since i played 1 & 2 and nothing after. I would gladly pay around $39.99 for them and $59.99 for Infinite.
@CTmatic I'd absolutely be down for a port of the Bioshock games to the Switch. I have only play some of them. I remember going to a friend's house when Bioshock one was new and watching my friend die against the last boss, he said something along the lines of "screw it, you try" and then I beat it having never played the rest of the game. lol I've got a few of the titles in my steam backlog.
No need to pay all that. It would be like PS4/Xbox Remastered Collection, but I’d bet money that Bioshock 1 would be a cartridge and download codes for 2 & Infinite. I’m more than content if that happened.@CurryPowderKeg79
TakeTwo Interactive is the parent company of Rockstar and 2K Games.

Looks like its coming to Switch. This would be pretty awesome. I never played all the way through the first one on the Xbox 360. I'd buy it for Switch.
If Take Two decides to do the "half physical, half digital" nonsense that third party publishers love to do with Switch physical releases, please oh please let BioShock 1 be on the cartridge and not BioShock 2.

@Magician Not a fan of Bioshock 2, I assume?
I think it's the best one of the trilogy.
I don't agree, but that's fine. Different strokes for different folks and all that. According to a recent wiki entry, the developers of BioShock 2 (2K Marin) are leading development for the new BioShock game. While that's dreadful news to me, I'm sure your interest is piqued? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_Marin

I'll likely get it but I can't play through 1 again even though I enjoyed the game. Found out that I can be triggered by imagery and I had to befriend a trashcan for half an hour during that game. 2 was really good and Infinite starts well and ends ok but the middle gets silly imo.

I’ve thought that myself sometimes. So I’m a rare breed with Bioshock, as far as binging goes. I legit beat Bioshock over 50 times. I could never get enough and for a few years a long time ago just kept replaying it that much in between other games.
Bioshock 2 is the only game I ever bought a collectors edition for. Not sure if you remember but it was a huge vinyl record looking box. Including posters and mini (real) vinyl records of the soundtrack. I beat Bioshock 2 well over 30 times but not as much as 1. They’re both unique in their own ways. I think if I had to pick Bioshock 1 wins, but only by a hair. I think Bioshock 2’s storyline and orchestra music gets me every time. It just lacks the WOW “would you kindly moment”.
Bioshock Infinite, surprisingly I only beat that twice. I think it’s another great game but is overrated. To be clear, I just mean overrated as far as how some of the other big fans talk like it’s light years better then the other two. @MsJubilee

I did not know this. Now I'm intrigued.
@CTmatic Bioshock 2 tried desperately to recapture that twist from the first one. But, it failed miserably., anyone with a brain called that twist a mile away. It was the worst part of the game. Now Infinite is the game I couldn't bother finishing, I did play it for a couple of hours, but it didn't click with me. Felt more like COD rip off than the immersive, atmospheric shooter Bioshock was known for.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I'm currently playing Resident Evil 4 Remake & Manhunt
