I had it, but it was killed, literally. Apple/2K pulled it from the App Store years ago. Too many bugs so they threw in the towel.
I consider myself one of the biggest Bioshock fans there is and I admit it was pretty bad to play, but only for the control scheme being an iPhone game. Graphics was it was good. @jump
No. I have Metro to. Metro 2033 is border line unplayable in handheld. The Bioshock port is flawless in my humble opinion. You can see slight downgrades as expected but it’s basically identical to the PS3/360 versions not counting the obvious necessary slight downscaling to run on Switch. I couldn’t be happier with it. @SpringLand
I’m now tempted to try and play mobile version just to see how buggy it is.
I’ve just got to the point where I have to decide on what to do with a little sister...knowing the consequences I wish they made it harder to do the right thing so it feels like a real dilemma rather than getting a reward anyway.
Clash in the Clouds - Does anyone know for sure that while you’re in between waves and back in the museum to restock. If you do a manual save at the book counter. Then quit your game, are you still on whatever wave you left off on? Thanks!
Trying to get into this again while juggling Trials of Mana. Not too far yet and taking my time exploring everywhere, but so far it's pretty good. I'm not an FPS or a horror person, but this game pulls them both off well. There have been a couple of pretty good jump scares so far, one where I think I killed a Splicer on accident because I hit the button when I flinched. The only things so far, which will probably not be so easy later, is I never really use anything but the wrench (I know this will obviously not work on Big Daddys) especially since I found a power up for it; and hacking is pretty easy. The only one I have failed was when I didn't notice where the start was and changed the very first tube and failed practically instantly. I even hacked a safe, which it noted are the hardest hacks in the game, with no problem. Hopefully I can find more time to play since I don't really want to play it with the wife or kids around.
Edit: Did my first boss battle last night and had to make my first decision about a Little Sister (fortunately someone else took out the Big Daddy so I still haven't had to fight one of them). I'm planning on trying to save them all, but man you really don't get much choice of upgrades with half the Adam, do you? Also, do you eventually learn something about who/what these Big Daddys are? It seems to me like if their whole purpose is to protect the Little Sisters, and you want to save the Little Sisters, then they should just let you and shouldn't fight you.
I completed Bioshock 1 recently. I enjoyed it up to a point, but was glad when I finished it. The atmosphere and water effects were good but about a third into the game they both became less of a thing, and the game seemed slightly repetitive. The lack of motion control ment that with most weapons it was hard a aim. I mostly used the flame for everything, it seemed to hit its target better.
@Xyphon22 The stuff about the Big Daddies & Little Sisters mostly get told through those tapes you can pick up. Bioshock 2 also expands on it, one of my favourites moments from the series is in 2 when you find out how the Little Sisters view the world.
@jump That makes sense. I try to find and listen to all of those I can, but I don't remember hearing anything about them yet. I'm not that far yet, though. I think I am looking for the ingredients to make the thing that can save the trees. Big Daddies have definitely gotten a lot easier to beat now, though.
