@Truegamer79 usually just Amazon since you'll typically get it day 1. But if there's a nice pre-order bonus, I'll make an exception. I'm not tied to any one company though.
I think the only thing I don’t like is the fight music. Even though it “fits” but I am trained by “tomorrow is mine”, I guess.

Yeah i use Amazon alot too. I think I'm done ordering from Walmart also. There's no way it should take until January to deliver a game i just ordered today. I call BS on that. Must be a glitch in their system or something.
Just tried out @GameOtaku 's copy of Bayonetta 3 on my SWOLED, and... I don't know what to say. If this is 480p, it's a really clean-looking 480p. Looks gorgeous in handheld mode. Maybe it looks worse in open areas, as I mainly played a few boss fights, but if the entire game looks and plays like this, I genuinely don't understand the complaints.

We need Switch 2 now, Nintendo.
Stop holding developers back with your antiquated hardware, bro.
I won’t watch the Digital Foundry analysis video in case it shows spoilers, but I do expect Nintendo have heard from multiple developers that they need new, more powerful hardware. In fact, some have (I think) publicly stated it. I still expect nothing to come out until 2024 though. The biggest question will be what state the world will be in, economic wise, when it does eventually release. Would love to see Bayonetta and Astral Chain sequels on more powerful Nintendo hardware. See what Platinum Games can do.

Phenomenal game thus far, such a great prologue episode. Been awhile since I last played through Bayonetta 1&2(2014), but I quickly remembered how amazing the combat is in this series.
Anyone else happy they came up with another moon song in the third one? Ya know just for continuity sake. Oh and What's with the Joe Pesci wannabe in these? Its painfully obvious. Might i add the music is amazing! That viola theme rocks!
I feel like they nailed the “vehicle” sections. This game is crazy. I’m so glad I am an action fan.

@Ralizah
I was a bit rusty jumping back in, as it's been nearly 5 yrs since I did my 2nd playthrough of Bayonetta 2. But I'm finally getting into the flow now, and once it clicks where you get into that flow, the game becomes insanely addictive and intense.
Regardless of how much you enjoyed playing a few boss fights, I think if you sit down and play long enough to start memorizing multiple combos and get the dodge timing down, your enjoyment will shoot through the roof.
BTW, having played more of the game there is some dynamic res that hits at times which is noticeable in handheld, but still, overall it's a good looking game portably.

@JaxonH I was having trouble trying to attack different enemies when I was surrounded. Tried to target different enemies, but it didn't seem to work out.
Witch Time activations are still pretty forgiving in B3, thankfully, compared to the original.
I enjoyed the brief time I had with the demon summoning mechanic. It reminds me a lot of how Chimeras were integrated into Astral Chain.
BTW, that special edition is gorgeous in person. GREAT packaging.

@Ralizah
You get better at it with practice. I tend to only lock on if there's one enemy. When there's multiple, I'm constantly bouncing back and forth between attacking different enemies, so the lock on becomes a detriment.
How do you use Witches hearts to increase health? I got a full one and it said something about using it in the menu but I can't figure out how.
edit
Apparently you use them via the Skills menu under the Bayonetta tab. On the right side there are life upgrades and magic upgrades that require hearts and moon pearls.
This game is poking the heck out of my arachnophobia.
Edit: got partially spoiled on the ending looking for something else. Well sheesh. I mean I am not surprised but can I just have one protag that is awesome the whole time? I swear if I were younger I would make my own game. Think I’ll stop playing for the weekend.

A question for the Bayonetta experts:
Which game would you recommend to start with?
And I don't mean necessarily storywise. More like in refinement and difficulty. Like how Pikmin 3 is often recommended for newcomers. Thanks!
@dionysos283 from a control perspective they are all good and build on each other but I would say at the very least start with 2 as it really hits its stride gameplay wise. But 1 is still very worth playing. So I would still say just play the series through.
