@CroRock It's not a dealbreaker, but 1080p (upscaled, even) would be appreciated. The Switch is more than powerful enough go handle it. Bayo 1 could use a bit of extra visual flavor too. The artstyle saves that game's visuals, it's a bit muddy by today's standards. Bayo 2 is much sharper and colorful.
EDIT: People on ERA are pointing out that the source of these news, Conquest Entertainment, is a third-party distributor. The info might be off.
@MarcelRguez tbh I was blown away with Bayonetta 2 graphics when I first played. Some of angels looked wierd and disturbing by design but everything else was perfect imo. It can’t get worse on Switch so I’m fine with that aspect of game. Let’s just hope they won’t downgrade graphics for handheld like they did in Xenoblade 2 🤞. I played much on gamepad with my earphones on because music was half of the game for me
So there's not even a performance bump on the Switch? That's disappointing. Previous Wii U ports at least bumped up the resolution and added some additional content.
@CroRock I doubt they'll downgrade the visuals. Even in handheld mode, the Switch is slightly more powerful than the Wii U in raw specs. Hopefully they'll manage to port it without an issue.
I'm pretty sure there'll be a performance bump in terms of frame rate. Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U often dips into the 40s, so getting a steady 60 ought to be improvement enough, even if 1080p proves to be out of reach.
I have just pre-ordered the special edition as I have never played any of the Bayonetta series. I really wanted the climax edition, but I wasn't willing to pay the mark up for it, the cheapest I could find the climax version for was £120. That was a little steep considering it is a game I have never played before..
This release has reignited my interest on the Bayo amiibo, I didn’t manage to get them when they released.
I do hope we get Enzo in the first scene, it’s fun to watch him get screwed by everything!
Just.... make whatever character takes Cereza’s/ Loki’s place a little less annoying than Loki.
And I do think that at the very least we’ll get a bump on frame rate if we don’t get a resolution boost on docked mode. The Switch is stronger in docked mode than the Wii U at the very least.
@Oblique It appears that for what ever reason, Nintendo are cheaping out in the West with this game. To be honest I am not too happy with this myself as I much prefer physical and I can't believe it would be that much more expensive to do.

@Oblique The Japanese version of the cart has English voice and subs, so you'd be good there. The issue is that you need to pay $150+shipping from a scalper to get your hands on it.

Couldn't they just order it directly from Amazon.co.jp?
I've ordered a couple of things from them (admittedly calendars, and not games yet), and the shipping is suprisingly inexpensive ($6 or so, and both items arrived in exactly 3 days).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@RR529 It's only available as part of the Non-Stop Climax collector's edition that sold out within like, five minutes of announcement of the game. Trust me, I've been trying to get my hands on it.
