Topic: Bayonetta 1, 2, and 3?!

Just watched the gamexplain analysis of the trailer and, wow, when I first watched the trailed all the brutal details totally flew over my head. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary originally, but Bayonetta just dies in the trailer.

I wonder where they'll go with that.

You could run on walls in some fights. Granted, it's far from as bad as DMC, but I hope they don't include anything like that in Bayonetta 3.

When I played Bayonetta, I was shocked by how extensive the moves list was, and how technical you could get when pulling off huge combos. I can see why people like it: the gameplay can be incredibly deep.

Disappointed to hear that but then, Bayonetta 2 on Wii U is also 720p and looked great on TV.. Even on gamepad I didn’t have problem with graphics.
Not the biggest fan of Bayonetta but I finished it and never looked back. I know I only scratched the game and maybe it’s about time to get back before Bayonetta 3 comes.

Not sure I’ll buy 1 and 2 for Switch (maybe if I sell Wii U version) but it should be easier to play with joycons then with gamepad I guess so who knows..

@MarcelRguez tbh I was blown away with Bayonetta 2 graphics when I first played. Some of angels looked wierd and disturbing by design but everything else was perfect imo. It can’t get worse on Switch so I’m fine with that aspect of game. Let’s just hope they won’t downgrade graphics for handheld like they did in Xenoblade 2 🤞. I played much on gamepad with my earphones on because music was half of the game for me

So there's not even a performance bump on the Switch? That's disappointing. Previous Wii U ports at least bumped up the resolution and added some additional content.

I'm pretty sure there'll be a performance bump in terms of frame rate. Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U often dips into the 40s, so getting a steady 60 ought to be improvement enough, even if 1080p proves to be out of reach.

Yes! Local multiplayer is a wonderful edition to Bayonetta 2! Means the games multiplayer will always be accessible too!

I was confused as to why it was online only in the first place.

I could have easily seen the Wii U version having one player on the TV and another player on the GamePad.

I have just pre-ordered the special edition as I have never played any of the Bayonetta series. I really wanted the climax edition, but I wasn't willing to pay the mark up for it, the cheapest I could find the climax version for was £120. That was a little steep considering it is a game I have never played before..

Is Bayonetta 2 going to be available for digital purchase also? Or is it just physical?

@scubydo Digital too, the two games will have a discount digitally if you buy both.
