Good, this needs to happen. Collectathons don't deserve to be as dead as they are now.
I'd say 3D platformers in general don't deserve to be as dead as they are now. Mario and Sonic have been the only 3D platformers I can think of in nearly a decade.
Pacman has had a few.

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
I do find it strange how the indie ones get little coverage compared to e.g the ones trying to clone the NES look.
Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers is the only one I can think of that is finished but it is short (There is about another 5 I bought on Desura but most are barely functional).
My bet is a parrot/crow bird of some sort with a lizard on his back.
I can't help but wonder, is Nintendo going to jump on this and grab exclusive rights ala Bayo 2? Snatch up the rights and take on the role of publisher, plus help fund the game. They'd be stupid not to.
When I sit close to the stage, sometimes I get sweat or spit on me from the Runaway Five.
It's really hard to get up the nerve to answer somebody who actively refuses to read anything when your only means of doing so is via the written word. It's a catch-22...

I've taken it as my personal job to harass him lol. It took my all of 5 secs to see post 123 and answer.

Still, I really am getting sick of Sanya's lazy schtick. I'm willing to put up with the occasional n00bie who doesn't know where to look, but he's here been here too long and done it too many times to actually have any sort of excuse anymore, especially when the answer is on near the top of the page (which I've seen it been several times before, and in this case, considering it was right below his last post, it should've been one of the first things he saw). Everybody has things they aren't good at, maybe his is reading, or perhaps just researching, but that's when you put in more conscious effort, not less...trust me on that...
Sigh Anyways, I was curious about what these guys had done in Rare before...and outside of the Art Director (who was the Art director for the Banjo games, or perhaps at least the sketcher, Banjo-Kazooie had really confusing credits) and the Lead director (who was the "Chief Scribbler" in Banjo-Kazooie, which I assume meant he was the lead story writer), most of these guys didn't have much involvement at all with B-K. I find it odd and a little fishy that they'd be attempting to make a spiritual successor when 3 of the 6 guys involved weren't really credited as having worked on that series...and the third guy was just QA...
Not to say it's guaranteed to be bad, but do note, they do not have the lead level designers and directors, or really anybody involved with the original gameplay of Banjo-Kazooie or Banjo-Tooie, and they won't have Nintendo's assistance, either. It's been many years and a few of them moved up, but at least one of them haven't been credited with working on a game in years. Approach with caution.

Buzzkill.

Is it really a buzzkill when you're getting high on hot air? We still have to wait until the 14th, but until then, I'm keeping my expectations in check, because otherwise there's no evidence that these guys can pull things off. Seriously, here's their website: http://www.playtonicgames.com/team.html
Again, the lead director does have the most experience. That's a good sign. I'm merely saying to keep your expectations in check (cautious optimism), because this isn't the old band getting together the way they're trying to build it up...it's more like the Bassist took the make-up artist, Sound Engineer, and Janitor, as well as two unknowns and started up his own band while he promises things will be just like the old times. It really could go either way, and quite frankly, I find it hard to believe in the quality of their work when they're manipulating the facts. They could just as easily be trying to get early hype to seal a high-end publisher deal, only to take the money and run...I'd love to be proven wrong, though. We'll see this Saturday.

Cannot wait! Although it's just concept art, at least we get an idea of what they're going for with this game.
That's already more then we got from Project Cars.
Of course it is. If you ignore the fact SMS are putting out an updated version of the game practically every single day for the backers...
Not long to go now. Playtonic's slot is 4pm UK time. They're stressing it won't be a full reveal, as they're only been working on it a few months, but I'm so excited for this game (and the studio itself) that I'm eager for any little scraps.

By updated version do you mean Wii U version? And if so why hasn't any of that leaked to the public?
I really want this to be good so bad too. I miss Banjo and a lot of Rare games. They made up a good chunk of top 10 N64 games! Without Rare I don't think I look back on the N64 as much of a success.
