@Bmartin001 I've had a villager request a fish before, so I'm sure you could give bugs to villagers too. Not sure about mailing them though, you could try doing that and see if it works.

Hello all I have a favor to ask, Would anyone be willing to let me come to there island and give me a scorpion... I've literally haven't seen one in weeks and it gets frustrating just walking around all the time waiting for one to spawn.. I'm about 3 bugs away from completing my bug museum.. I would greatly appreciate it..
@Bmartin001
Unfortunately you can’t gift a fish or bug to another player. Leaving weeds here and there help them spawn, at least that’s what I was told.
Another option, head to a Mystery Island, chop down all the trees, gather up the fruit and wood, (pile it up on the beach or take it with you, then pluck the petals off all the flowers, you should start to see scorpions or tarantulas (depending on the season) begin to spawn, as long as you chase off other bugs that may appear on the ground including wharf roaches on the flat rocks. Just make sure you go between 7pm-5am. Works every time!

Hunt the scorpion started from 7 pm.
Circle around your island.
Prepare your net and DO NOT Run or you might encounter it suddenly and it will attack you directly.
Been working on terraforming a better 3rd level river since I never caught the golden trout or string fish in March. With the job only partially completed, I’ve already caught a Golden Trout and a Mitten Crab!
Woo hoo! I’m pumped up! (Yep, it’s the little things in AC that excite me) 😂

It's random.
Sometimes a little bit of shakes you get the acorn or pine cone, sometimes it takes a lot of shakes.
Keep shaking the trees and you might get another acorn or pine cone.
And please no swearing for a game like this.
You guys weren't lying...acorns and pine cones are indeed very rare. Repeatedly shaking trees is pretty much your only option if you want them. For a single tree, I've gotten 2 acorns/pine cones at most.
Anyway, I've been working on my Yoshi egg island.

Hey all!
STAR OWL is present on my island and Redd has a couple fakes for sale. My gate is OPEN for all friends.
Island is under construction at the moment so please excuse the mess on the North end.

I have a new theory about the acorns and cones. Today I only shook the trees where a tree branch already fell of over night and got one from every tree after no more then ten shakes. Feels like a better ratio 😉
Edit: After some evaluation it doesn’t work all time but more often than not.
Edit 2: Acorn and cone farming on mystery islands is a thing!
I just can't get enough of Mac. A strange thing happened the night I recorded this though - a lot of my villagers were singing in the plaza over the course of the night. Previously, only Groucho had the habit of singing. In fact, here's Groucho spontaneously bursting into song while my second character reads his mail.
I've had a busy few months, so i've been chipping away at my island, and in the last month, I moved in a new character so that I can have a space that can act as a football team clubhouse. Here's a preview of the pitch I created, complete with away team.
The problem is, I've kind of soured on the initial theme of my island - a ruined citadel, as I had since introduced the football pitch (shown) and an anarcho microstate in the style of Chaz/Chop (which I never really finished developing). With all the space dedicated to stone walls and paths, it isn't the most space efficient.
This would be where I'd delete my save and start again, but I don't want to lose my progress, so I'm going to overhaul the island. There are a few features on my current island I'm quite happy with, but in all, I've had to miss out on easy river access and ponds. I'm compiled a quick tour of my island in seven parts: (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)
I can create a dream address for anyone who fancies having a look first hand.
Now begins the long process of moving everything to the beach, and flattening the island. I'm sure I'll be able to incorporate some of the features shown into my new island, but it'll be easier with more space, and I'll be able to build everything around the pitch, rather than trying to squeeze it in the limited space I had.
